Dear friends

exactly last year this time i was writing my post to celebrate one year of Steemit:

https://steemit.com/steem/@intellihandling/one-year-of-crypto-and-one-year-in-steemit

Now i am celebrating second year here and it is time to make some important questions how this crypto world is going on...

I think after two years of scam and money lost, i can say that crypto is more the power of scammers than the power of people.

First year i was really find the most typical scam process like cloud mining and HYIP and i got fucked of course, but second year i selected my investement but anyway i was scammed too!!

Yes because starting from @drugwars, ending with @magicdice, even in the steem blockchain there is no safe of the investments.

And of course if the main core of a coin is not safe, how we can pretend the main coin value can improve???

Even i invested personal money another time to try to get some income, i've got only loose, again Steem loose its value like first year, so from 8 usd value on january 2018, now we are just at 0,1 usd, how i can be refunded of this shit?

Thanks to @steem-bounty and @crypto.piotr i would like to keep here, but if i would see somebody like @themarkymark and most of witnesses, i would like to left.

So i would like to make a main question, is Steem reach the low point and keep here will refund users like me that right now get only looses or we will see another Steem fall as the past 2 years reaching 0,001 usd value???

What witness will do, keeping their own business way or they will do something real to improve this place??

They think to make another HF that will cut to 25% the reward of writer to increase power for lazy whales which will take all planctons and minnows power???

If i will get heavily downvoted from whales again it means this is not the place for me, so may be it could be my last post, i hope no but we will see...............................

I understand your full frustration, as I lived the same experience here on STEEM. I invested when the STEEM was traded at $5, and it's hard to make big plans with so little trust created around crypto. Happy celebration, and good luck to you in your adventure!

Dear @intellihandling

It seem that you're still quite frustrated about steem and your failed expectations are probably only fueling that dissapointment.

They think to make another HF that will cut to 25% the reward of writer to increase power for lazy whales which will take all planctons and minnows power???

i agree with you, that it's painful to see that whales are profiting more and those who created content are in huge disadvantage.

On the other hand - it seem to be important to stabilize steem price and ensure that those who hold (power up) it will be enjoying more rewards. For steem token economy it's important to be attract people, who will not sell received rewards. And content creators usually did it.

upvote from my account and project.hope (300k SP) already on the way :)
Cheers, Piotr

Dear Piotr, my disappointment is coming from the way how i loose over 1000 usd to keep an account at value of 100 usd.....

I'm in the same boat as you in terms of investment. Made way to many investment as the rocket was shooting to the moon...before the entire market showed that it's rocket didn't have nearly enough fuel to even get out of the atmosphere. I have thousands invested and little to show for it as of now.

Personally I have stopped watching the value of any coins, just keep plugging away on Steem doing my thing. If it ends up being a failed investment so be it...but I really hope it turns around.

In no way did I ever think Steem was going to be a short term investment and had planned on being here until at least 2024 anyways. That will be when my oldest kid will need money for college. So if this is still a flop by then she will get some money for food, if we recover she will get money for maybe a class or two, if it goes beyond my investment all the better.

I read this post with interest. I believe in STEEM a lot, but what you say is true. In 2 years the platform has done nothing but lose value.

I think after two years of scam and money lost, i can say that crypto is more the power of scammers than the power of people.

I feel like you are half true and half wrong with this statement. Scammers are not in power here, it is just that the tech is so new that most people don't understand the ropes yet. I still know people who are getting scammed via phonecalls so yeah the understanding of the Tech matters.

As for investments and getting some sort of Income from STEEM you can certainly try out Steemmonsters which will indeed cost you about 10 USD to buy the basic pack but you can recover that almost within a month and then move forward as you wish. If you wan't not to Invest Money before trying out the game then you can join discord groups and ask for a trial account and there are plenty of people that may give access to their Steemmonster account for a month so that you can learn the ropes for free. Plus depending on the person you may be able to get some free DEC as well.

In order not to lose value, STEEM requires a source of income that currently doesn´t have. The hopes of most of us is that income is provided by the Smart Media Tokens launch, but the success of that new platform isn´t guaranteed at all.

Another option would be advertising. Whereas promotion of articles burns SBD sending it to @null, banners provides income to Steemit Inc, so only the first option has a direct impact, and the market prices of SBD and STEEM proves that it is not enough.

If Bitcoin price rises, it is likely that STEEM price will rise too. However, that condition depends of market volatility and is not sustainable in the long term.

Witnesses can´t do much to solve this situation. They tried to reduce resource credit availability to increase power up, but that was too harmful to minnows and didn´t work. They also tried to increase curation rewards, and this solved the problem of the bid bots, but didn´t stop the price from dropping either.

SO, I can´t imagine any solutions for this other than waiting for the SMT launch. Maybe you are more creative and have any idea?

Congrats on being here 2 years.

Always remember never invest or gamble with more than you are willing to lose.

Congratulations on your 2nd anniversary. I sure hope steemit goes up soon

The problems we have to overcome for steem users are huge. The platform is constantly losing value. This cannot be prevented. Moreover, there is no solution. We watch with amazement the melting of our money.

I'm living the same dilemma... On one hand I believe the future is in blockchain and steem implemented a game changer in social media, but on the other hand it is demotivating to see how many people are fighting against the success of crypto and blockchain. I'm committed to keep my investments growing in crypto, but I'm afraid that there are not many people like me...
