Proposal for the distribution of rewards in TRX in Steemit

Four months ago, Steemit’s team announced that the rewards in TRX would be paused. This with the aim of seeking better use of the alliance that Tron and Steem have.

Because of the current crypto market conditions it has been decided to pause TRX rewards.

In the past, the rewards in TRX had been distributed in a 1:1 ratio with the amount of SP you got. That is, if you got 20 SP you would receive 20 TRX as well.

Over time this ratio was reduced by 1:0.5 and 1:0.25, until reaching today where they are totally paused. The truth is that I imagine that for Steemit’s team it was a little unsustainable to maintain all those rewards and it was also not very healthy for the Tron ecosystem due to the sales pressure that was generated.

Looking for alternatives, it occurred to me that if instead of distributing TRX based on the rewards in SP that users receive, why not distribute TRX based on the APR of the SP of the users?

I explain: when you block your STEEM by automatically converting them to SP you are receiving an APR (Annual Percentage Rate) which varies between 2-3%. That APR is automatically added to the balance in SP so maybe that’s why most users are not aware of it.

The idea would be that every 15 or 30 days the interest that each user has achieved is calculated and based on it to make a 1:1 distribution of TRX. This would encourage people to block their STEEM much more with the aim of farm TRX as well. (Something similar to what Binance does with its launchpool)

In addition to reducing STEEM’s liquidity in the market, it would be a much healthier use for Tron. To put it in context, currently the APR of the SP is at 2.72% so for every 10,000 SP users receive 272 SP per year, which translates into ~0.74 SP per day (this without counting the compound interest effect) that estimate would be multiplied by 15 or 30 and there the result would be obtained more or less how many TRX a person would receive.
