Check out the 3 Most Popular Social DApps on Steem, What's Your Favorite DApp?

In this post I will share posts about 3 lists of decentralized applications for the social media (Social DApp) category that are on the Steem blockchain network. To note, since running in 2016 until now, there are 400+ dapps and growing that have adopted the Steem blockchain network in developing their applications.

If we quote from Steemit Inc's official Twitter account (https://twitter.com/SteemNetwork), basically Steem is an application-specific blockchain designed for fast and functional social applications. The greatness of the Steem network is designed with 3 amazing concepts, namely: Free Transactions, Fast Transactions, Built to Scale. If we review the official Steem blockchain website (https://steem.com/) the explanation above will include:

Free Transaction
Smart bandwidth allocation allows free transactions

Fast Transaction
Processing occurs every 3 seconds, 24/7/365

Built to Scale
The only blockchain that can handle social applications at scale

The thing that seems very unique about the Steem blockchain is that it is free of charge and runs fast even on a large scale. Steem blockchain transaction speed is faster compared to Bitcoin and Ethereum. Although initially the main foundation of the Steem blockchain was to give birth to a decentralized social media that runs on the Steem network, over time it has grown and developed.

As I recall, the highest network adoption in DApp development on the Steem Blockchain network occurred in 2018 and that was extraordinary. Hundreds of extraordinary DApps have developed on the Steem blockchain and are included in various categories, from social, games, gambling, Defi, others. Even decentralized Crowdfunding projects like https://fundition.io/ also run on the Steem blockchain network which has supported funding for hundreds of Individuals, associations and companies projects to achieve their goals.

Now let's see how the Steem DApp is developing and what applications can we find on the Steem blockchain network? My analysis only focuses on the data and analytics available on the https://dappradar.com/ website. This writing will only list 3 popular social DApp lists on the Steem blockchain network based on sources from https://dappradar.com/rankings/protocol/steem.

If we look at daappradar, currently there are dozens of decentralized applications active on the Steem network. The number of analytic rankings is based on analysis of Balance (Total value of assets in dapp's smart contracts), Unique Active Wallets (Number of unique active wallets interacting with dapp's smart contracts) and Volume (Number of unique active wallets interacting with dapp's smart contracts). The first popular ranking application on the Steem network is Steemit, and it is the first application released in 2016.

The following is a list of 10 active applications on the Steem network: Steemit, Steemhunt, Wormhole3, DrugWars( https://drugwars.io/), Wherein, Dtube, Orinoco, Boylikegirl. club, Dlike and Steemauto. These applications fall into various categories, ranging from social, defi, games and others. Apart from that, dapp radar also shows other DApps that are still active and removed from the Steem blockchain network.

Then, what caught my attention was the list of social Dapps that are on the Steem blockchain network. Within one month period, there were 3 popular social Dapps on the Steem network. They are a unique and growing Dapp on Steem :

2. Wormhole3
3. Wherein

Apart from Steemit, Wormhole3 and Wherein are Dapps that have attracted quite a bit of attention on the Steem network. Wormhole3 as Dapp to curate and build impressions and own tokens. Wherein as a Dapp lifestyle blog designed as a competitor to Instagram.

The Dapp was built by a team that is reliable and competent in building marketing and investors. In the future, I'm sure this DApp can support Steem's growth in various aspects, both curating, investing, and social blogging. Meanwhile, there are still a number of DApps that have not registered on DappRadar.
