The Sky Painter

Lila was a little girl who loved to look at the sky. Every day, she would lie on the soft green grass in her backyard and watch it.

Some days, the Sky Painter would use big, fluffy brushes to sweep the sky a brilliant, happy blue and dot it with puffy white clouds that looked like sleepy sheep.

Other days, the Sky Painter seemed to be in a watery mood. The sky would turn a gentle gray, and the clouds would cry soft, rainy tears that watered the flowers and made puddles for jumping.
