You should do it in the start when you start developing steem pro as you know google firebase is not good When working with sensitive keys, it's not good to have google in background.

Firestore has nothing to do with localstorage it was just used to store some basic off chain data, I have explained it in the post you can also read the changes. Well now we moved to MySQL for off chain data.
