BOTTO Steem Abuse

For sure you have heard BottoSteem the tool of @xpilar and Team and it is part of WOX these days (correct me if I am wrong).
If it comes to 2024 this "project" doesn't run very well and it would be great if someone would feel the decency to mention what the issues are and how and if there's work to do and if that affects the use of it. I don't see one single mention about it in the account: @steem.bottom only the jubel trubel about it's greatness. Nowhere for example the fact that 22 days ago botto steem was out the air.
"Together we can achieve more"
It's the slogan of @xpilar I didn't achieve more and I don't feel that "together" I am sorry.
Today a part of my day is spoiled by taking action and generating new keys. The fact that I feel my account isn't save due to a Steemit Witness plus Team's project isn't great.
To all those I gave an automatic upvote, I am sorry I had to cancel it. I am not sure if BottoSteem is broken or the backdoor that leads to the password/s you have to fill out is still open but something is seriously wrong.
(empty) Accounts being hacked via this project isn't something to laugh about and a system that keeps upvoting one and the same person on my account isn't either. It's a good thing @aneukpineung78 asked if I was bomb-voting him while we were curating since otherwise I would have noticed it too late.
I wonder, if I hadn't acted how long the upvoting would have continued. As long as there was something to vote for, would that bot continue upvoting the next one or was this a certain message from someone to "prove" whatever they think they can prove?
I am very curious to hear how this could happen and if this was another "test" why exactly @aneukpineung78 was chosen and not one of the many others I set.
Auto upvoting
I did set a few for an auto-upvote and in @aneukpineung78's case this was set at: 50% 2x per day - post + comment. As far as I know 2 is 1 + 1.
Steps I took
- I had a look at steemworld.org
- I paid bottosteem a visit and switched off fanbase (see settings)
- I checked in fanbase @aneukpineung78 (click on edit)
- I changed my passwords
- I deleted my vote for @xpilar as a witness.
As I wrote above I don't feel that "together we can achieve more", I guess that's the team who achieves or perhaps the hackers I have no idea. As in September 2024, a bot test was run with an auto-reply that test was about "together", about connecting, it brought a smile to many Steemians their faces, unlike the bottosteem acts. It feels as is bottosteem is a troubled kid.
Thoughts or facts?

- Testing if I/we pay attention
- Angry because you feel I upvote the same or shitty content
Whatever/whoever caused it I think it's pitiful.
I too had a problem with this service and was quite surprised to find out that in order to "fix the bug in my account" there, they let it upvote with 100%, I think their developer account. I had given two full 100% votes and the account was left like that. I tagged the xpilar on their Discord channel , but no one responded to my complaint.
Then, or before that, my account was deleted from their system, also to fix the bug. So they deleted the accounts that auto-upvoted me before and despite repeated promises to restore them, they never did. I still use this service but the feeling is that my account is not in safe hands. You can feel an absolute lack of interest on the part of the developers, but also on the part of the owner, just some upvotes going around, and I also don't understand why a working thing - the previous site - had to be abandoned to move to something not working. All of their accounts feel like they've been hacked, when in fact that seems to be their real face.
Inam writing my next post now and will post it within a few minutes. My other account keeps voting the same accounts since weeks! I never reach 100 VP not even 80% and all votes are 75% which I would never give/set. I switched it off longer ago. I didn't set a trail or fanbase and changed the keys for this account as well.
It continues. You can not change or stop the settings. It shows as if you did but the upvoting continues.
So the only thing left is to powerdown and start over again?
An empty account miggt not be interesting any longer. Like you I receive no answer. I guess the team doesn't exist and advice you to stop using it and change your keys!

The team exists for sure lol. Yet what they do, and whether they do anything at all, is another thing. Your account in their system seems to have a multifaceted problem and should probably be deleted like mine lol.
I've already seen that they've replied to you with a link to their discord channel, so I really hope they resolve the issue quickly and efficiently!

They gladly help me if I contact them. No answer as to how it can be that posts don't schedule and the 15x voting for the same person, suddenly,.. there are more strange things. Via steemworld.org - authorized apps I de-activated WOX and boylikegirl app. It remains strange why 1 account keeps upvoting and the other didn't.

We identified the issue with the 15 votes—most of them were upvotes on comments made by the same person. As I mentioned, you had enabled the option to vote on comments, and a bug in the system caused the same individual to receive multiple votes on their comments.
To ensure this does not happen again, we will completely remove the option to upvote comments from our service.

Hey! :) I think I understand your frustration, it feels like the team behind this has developed the service from scratch, so it has some downtime moments, that's true. When I notice those I go to their Discord issue channel and report. Sometimes they fix quickly, sometimes it takes a day of more. I have no idea why they abandoned the previous open-source platform to have this one, probably for those new features, that I am still not convinced I'd use.
I believe if SteemKeychain is used, nobody on that platform has real access to your passwords, and even if we assume someone has such access they will "see" only your private posting key and can't operate the wallets. Of course, harm could be done even with that kind of access.

If keychain is safe like you state there's only one option left which is that there's a but in botto.steem Sounds to me 1 day is long if an account keeps voting on 1 person only. What do you think?
Honestly, no idea. I suggest you go to their discord server and text them the details. That service definitely has a lot of room for improvements but if we don't report the problems we see, asap, the developers may not pay proper attention.
That kind of access is something we should always avoid by remaining vigilant as well.

Sounds far from ideal. I checked my account but stopped the auto vote, Am not sure if I can vote/write/be here daily 'cause it's not my favourite hobby as you know . I hope someone can tell what happened. Unlike what @lightcaptured says I don't think we should all use Discord to report and pretend nothing is wrong while behind the screens a lot's going on. I guess those in charge can easily what happened around that time. If keychain is safe it's a bug.
This account keeps voting. The settings are fake. Since no one replies powering down feels the only solution.

And now it looks like @xpilar and their bottosteem team is testing something or maybe there's a bug needs fixing. And I hope from bugs beautiful butterflies (is it possible?).

The 15 votes you got, were they also on comments or just posts and did this all happen in one day?
@xpilar I barely remembered if they were all 15 for comments, but I remembered that day I was notified so many times that kitty upvoted each time I sent a comment. I am sure most of them -if not all- were comments. Then I asked kitty on Telegram why did she vote-bombing me (she voted every comment, no matter what I wrote), and she surprised, she told me she did not do that and she only put me on auto vote for 2 votes a day including comments.

The fact is, some months ago, you actually did the same, you (and @hingsten if I remember it correctly) voted everything I post (posts and comments). It happened almost at the same time as the bot making massive comments under everyone's posts.
The massive upvotes I received ended almost the same time the bot ended it's massive commenting behavior.
Well, it wasn't the same, but now we're removing the issue of upvoting comments

Saya dulu pernah mendelegasikan ke steemboot ini, untuk mendapatkan vote dan penghasilan yang banyak, akan tetapi hasilnya juga sama. Saya lihat hanya mereka-mereka saja yang banyak mendapatkan hasilnya saja.
Saya kembali menarik delegasi kembali walupun percobaan hanya 50 steem saja.
Stelah saya sadari Steemit ini melarang boot dalm bentuk apapun bahkan di anggap larangan, akan tetapi kenapa boot ini selalu hadir dan lahir selalu.
Saya tidak mengerti apa yang terjadi dan mereka tidak menjawab. Akun saya @wakeupkitty terus memberikan suara untuk akun yang sama. Tidak sekali atau dua kali, tetapi 15 kali dan saat itulah saya menghentikannya. Dengan @freewritehouse, postingan terjadwal dikatakan telah diposting tetapi sebenarnya tidak. Postingan tersebut tidak dapat ditemukan di mana pun. Saya baru menyadari bahwa CSI wakeupkitty.pal rendah. Saya bertanya-tanya mengapa. Saya memeriksa di steemworld.org dan menyadari meskipun saya menghentikan pemungutan suara otomatis untuk semua akun, akun tersebut masih memberikan upvote! Bagaimana ini bisa terjadi? UPDATE: botto.steem indeed turns out to deal with bugs. If the word is kept setting an auto-upvote for comments is no longer possible.
There's no response or reason given why scheduled posts don't show and two account with the same settings keep voting but in a different way.
