There appears to be a rising consensus among philosophers on the possibility of free will being nonexistent - actions we perform or decisions we make are not solely due to us but due to forces beyond our ultimate control and probably must have been predetermined back to the big bang (our actions/decisions).
As a consequence, suggests that criminals should not be blamed for their atrocities, if this were to be true and everyone accepts it, then hatred could be eliminated, suggests some philosophers.
