After Enthusiasm
The bright rush fades, but it leaves a clear outline behind.
I begin to notice the small things I ignored when I was burning.
A glass of water, a slow morning, a thought that doesn’t need applause.
I learn that calm can also be a kind of courage.
Some dreams soften instead of breaking.
Some plans return, not as fireworks, but as steady light.
I stop chasing the feeling and start listening for meaning.
The heart, tired of sprinting, asks for a walk.
After enthusiasm, I don’t feel empty, just more honest.
I carry what matters and let the rest fall away.
The next beginning arrives quietly, without needing to prove itself.
And I meet it with open hands.
