Wrong Choice
I carried the weight without knowing its name.
Days kept moving as if nothing had shifted.
But every ordinary moment felt slightly misplaced.
Like a door I closed that was meant to stay open.
People speak of mistakes as sudden storms.
Mine was slower, like a shadow stretching across the floor.
It followed me into rooms where laughter once lived.
And sat beside me when the night became honest.
Now I understand how fragile a moment can be.
How easily a life bends around one decision.
The past does not argue or raise its voice.
It simply remains, showing me where I turned away.
