THANKSGIVING SUNDAY

Following the early service, we prepared to attend the Uyo Presbytery Thanksgiving Service at The Presbyterian Church of Nigeria, Uyo Parish, commonly referred to as The Glass House, located on 73 Wellington Bassey Way, Uyo. This gathering was significant as members from various congregations united with one heart and voice to express gratitude for God’s goodness. The church was filled with joy, unity, and reverence as praises filled the air and hearts were lifted in thanksgiving.
It was indeed a moment of gratitude in God's presence. The atmosphere buzzed with thankfulness as testimonies of God’s faithfulness shone through in our worship, prayers, and the joyful faces of the congregation. Seeing brethren from different churches together reminded me of the beauty of fellowship and the strength we gain as one body in Christ. It was not merely a service; it was a celebration of God’s grace, protection, provision, and guidance throughout our journeys.
A standout moment of the thanksgiving service was the preaching by guest speaker, Rev. Edet James, affectionately known as the Endless Grace Pastor. His message was timely, powerful, and deeply inspiring. He reminded us that thanksgiving involves not just acknowledging what God has done, but also trusting Him for what He will do. He passionately spoke about God's endless grace, emphasizing that despite our shortcomings, His mercy is always sufficient. His message inspired us to remain steadfast in faith, humble in service, and thankful in all situations.

As the service continued, our spirits were lifted through praise, offerings of thanksgiving, and heartfelt prayers. Being part of such a well-coordinated and spiritually enriching program was a true joy. I left the church feeling renewed, strengthened, and immensely grateful for God’s everlasting love. The remainder of the day was spent in quiet reflection and relaxation, allowing the day’s messages and experiences to resonate deeply within my heart.
Ultimately, my Sunday was truly blessed and fulfilling. I thank God for a peaceful service at Use Offot Congregation, a glorious Uyo Presbytery Thanksgiving at The Glass House, and the impactful message from Rev. Edet James. All glory, honor, and praise belong to God alone. Amen.
