Can a woman earn more than her man? @steemit-family

My answer is a resounding YEEESSSSSS. It may seem strange to some people for a woman to earn more than her man, especially those who grew up in a society where the man is suppose to care for his family.
Like in my country Nigeria, a man is obligated to care for all his family needs, therefore he is supposed to earn more than a woman. That is why in some companies, a man and a woman would hold same position, but the man is paid better than the woman.
Men are generally egotistical and may feel emasculated or humiliated when there women earn more than they do. This is the effect of not just society, but misinterpreted religious beliefs.
Yes, the Bible did say at 1Timothy 5:8 that a man who doesn't provide for his family is worst than someone without faith. So, it is the primary responsibility for a man to provide for his family. But did the Bible say that a man must earn more than a woman to provide for his family? NO.
Well, in marriage and relationships in general, I believe the man is meant to provide for his family but must not necessarily earn more than his wife to do so. If a woman earns more than her man which is okay, she can support her husband financially. A good woman would also know not to rub it in her man's face that she earns more than him. The digits in her bank account shouldn't dictate how she treats her man.
