Campus Connect Week, Promoting Steem in KNUST, Awareness Creation and Distribution of Flyers
Prologue
Let me begin by saying a big thank you to stephenkendal for supporting us with 100 steem for the printing of flyers for this event, we are grateful for the love shown towards steem promo activities especially in Ghana here and gratitude to all who supported and helped this program to become a successful one.
Meeting at Parade Grounds
Our promotional activity for this week begun at exactly 3pm today on Knust campus. Members who were present for the promo included @mcsamm, @collinz, @stingo98 and @kkronkye. We met at Parade grounds in one of the summer hats to discuss our activities for the day and which hall we would be visiting since we visited Queens Hall the last time.
We also discussed matters on writing of higher quality post, the need for all to strive to do more promo even after this event and the importance of us coming together as often as possible to do more of such events to help with steem awareness creation.
The Journey to Independence Hall
Right from parade grounds we started the promo work in terms of flyers distribution and talking to others along the way as we headed to the independence all. @kkorankye had receive his T-shirt and we all wear in our gear with the exception of @stingo98 who joined us at the last minute which meant that we couldn't get him a T-shirt.
From Parade grounds we headed straight to the independence hall which was our target hall for the day, we planned to visit as many people as we can within the hall with flyers we had and talk to as many as we could.
In Independence Hall
Once we got to Indece we stood at the entrance and talked to all who came out or went in giving them flyers and explaining to them what steem and steemit is about. Some had enough time to listen, others were in such a hurry they said they would check out the site and read more later.
After staying here for a while we went inside and continued to talk to more people. We posted some flyers on their notice boards and then we got lucky to have the hall DJ playing music for the hall in the middle of the hall and so we approached.
We explained our mission for coming and he did some announcement through their system for us explaining to them briefly about steemit as we had explained to him. He also read what was on the flyer to the listeners and after that we for some people to also come around, we talked to them after which we left.
Conclusion
Team Works indeed makes the dream work and there is nothing better than working as a team working towards achieving a common goal. And that is what we achieved today, we hope to achieve more and do more in promoting steem and taking steem to the world.
