What posts can I write on Steemit?

As I explained briefly in the last introduction, we can write anything on Steemit. Anything. But for newcomers (newcomers) usually they will have difficulty at the beginning. Confused, what post will I write on Steemit?

That's why the points 'posts like what will I look for on Steemit' and 'posts like what will I make' on Steemit' which were in the discussion of Achievement 1 yesterday were made. Because this point will greatly affect our development on Steemit in the future. And it is possible that the answers may vary and will be exchanged later in the middle of the road.

Usually, Steemit users will write something that they like or something they are good at. They are more experienced in telling or making posts about it. So, when they have mastered a topic or a theme, of course in the future they will continue to discuss it and will run continuously. Consistency is one of the keys to success on Steemit.

A simple example is, I am a graphic designer, because I like the world of design, I will make posts related to graphic design. Whether it's my works, design tips, design tutorials, my experience with design, and new things related to the world of graphic design.

Because I like and have more control over the field of graphic design, of course I will feel more confident and easier to make posts about graphic design.

The key is, find your passion and be consistent with it. Find your passion and be consistent.

Is your passion about technology, design, photography, motivational stories, education, food and cooking, scouting, or something else? The answer lies within yourself. 😁

Communities that match my Passion

There are hundreds of communities registered on Steemit, and the number is increasing every day. We can enter the community to get content that matches our passion and will create content that matches our passion in that community.

However, not all communities get attention from whales accounts, so posts in these communities do not get many rewards, only from among them.

To join the community is not difficult, and the requirements are also not too complicated. The steps are the same as I explained in guide 2 about joining at Newcomers' Community. Just press Subscribe, and you're already in the community. And to make a post, you can directly press the New Post button

But as the saying goes, Different fields, different grasshoppers, different depths of fish. Likewise in Steemit, each community also has its own rules that we must respect. You can't just join and make posts that are not related to the community. Community rules are usually listed in the description on the right sidebar, and sometimes the full version is made into a pin post in the community.

To see and find out what communities are on Steemit, you can see them on the left sidebar on your steemit.com home page, then click Explore communities

The following are some of the trending communities that Steemians usually enter that might match your Passion

  • Newcomers' Community: Community for the Achievement program for Newcomers (Newcomers), the post is only for the Achievement program.
  • Steemit Nursery: General Community for Steemit Newcomers, free posting.
  • WORLD OF XPILAR: A community about creativity, which is usually dominated by photography content and creativity contests
  • SteemFoods: Food and Cooking Community
  • SteemitCryptoAcademy: Community for Steemit Crypto Academy
  • StockPhotos: Community to share free stock photos
  • Photography: A community for art, industry, technology and photography enthusiasm
  • Steem Schools: Community about business motivation and education
  • Steem SEA: General community for users in Asia, Indonesia especially
  • Writing & Reviews: Community for creativity. Find great posts and reviews here!
  • SteemWomen Club: For ladies, anything about hobbies and about women is here.

How do I get my post rewarded?

As I mentioned earlier, the best way to get rewarded is to make quality posts that have value to many people, especially for the Steem community. This means posts that are useful and useful for many people, not just writing that you write because you like it.

There are some tips so that your posts get rewards from big curators like @steemcurator01 who has a very large Steem Power so that one vote will be very valuable.

  1. Consistency - Make regular posts every day. Minimum 1 post/day
  2. Commitment - Strive to always increase Steem Power (do power ups). At least already have 50 SP when 2-3 months on Steemit.
  3. Creativity - Do something creative and try something different from others
  4. Value - Gives more effort that has value to Steemit

The fourth point is the most important point of the whole point: How can I add value on Steem? The point is, what is your contribution to Steemit, what can you give to the development of the Steemit community. This value is very broad in meaning and can mean anything. Something that has a positive value and is very useful for the Steemit community.

The simplest example is the #Promo-Steem activity. Promising Steemit to others and then posting it on Steemit. Creating an activity or activity that smells of 'Steemit' so that it gives more value to the development of Steemit.

There are many steemians who provide value to steemit in various ways and with their own versions. A real example of this activity, one of which is @anroja who has the @steem-amal program from the Steem SEA community which helps the lower class community by providing them social assistance, and there is also @arie.steem who is successful with various #promo-steem programs, one of which is the other one is @steemcoffeeshop. And many more.

Sanctions for violating the rules

Even though we are given the freedom to write anything on Steemit, of course we also can't be careless as we like to make careless posts even very sensitive posts that smell of SARA which have a bad impact on community development.

Indeed, Steemit regulations will not sue us or take down our posts directly. Because Steemit itself can't do that. That's the advantage of blockchain technology, each user has the freedom of his own account. No one can interrupt him, not even Steemit himself.

However, there are still other ways to deal with things like this if there are 'bad' users who continue to violate some of the rules that have been set by the Community.

Read: Complete Steemit Ethics Guide (Revision 2.0)

Some of these stubborn users will usually be muted from the community, so their posts will be hidden and will not appear on the community timeline or even our own timeline.

Even if the post has a very negative impact, the whales (a term for large accounts that have a high reputation and large Steem Power* will not hesitate to do Downvote so that the reputation of these users will go down even minus. So they don't will receive a reward. Instead of getting a reward, it gets a bad reputation and the reward will be lost.

So, be wise in steemit.
