Thursday’s are for promosteem shoutouts!!!! Participating actively in shoutouts is a sure way to affirm your commitment to the promotional activities of this community, which Means you have the growth of this community at heart.
Today being the 18th day of November 2021, I (@tripplem) carried out a shoutout In Micheal Okpara university of Agriculture umudike in the city of Umuahia . what3words. I carried out this shoutout alone because my partner wasn’t feeling too well. So I took it upon myself because I can’t allow thursday go by just like that.

MY PERSONAL EFFORT

I kickstarted the shoutout alone in the campus. I saw some students that were waiting to collect their results from one of the offices in the campus. I approached them and told them about steemit. They were in groups so it made the job a lot more easier for me. After the promotion at the result office, i got three recruits.

The other groups I met were not interested. They just took my number an said they will get back to me. Then I met this young lady also, and after much deliberation she indicated interest also.

Then I moved to the Admin Block, where I saw this handsome , vibrant young man. I told him about steemit. After much questions from him, he indicated interest but his challenge is that he doesn’t have a smartphone, though he promised to get one and get back to me.

After that, I met his young lady. She is a fresh student of the university. Finest she was doing for directions to navigate to where she wanted to go to… after i have her the direction, I also seized the opportunity to tell her about steemit, she was so excited and interested ….and indicated interest also.

CHALLENGES I ENCOUNTERED

Because I carried out this shoutout alone, it wasn’t easy for me to cover a lot of students. I wasn’t even able to take much pictures because I was alone .

Students approach and mindset towards cryptocurrency and social blogging sites is just not welcoming. They see everything as scam . This making the promotion process more difficult because you have lots of convincing to do.

I didn’t go with any form for data collection, so I ended up collecting their phone numbers instead and some ended up giving me fake numbers.
