Introduction

Hi all,

Good evening to y'all. Hoping that you are all doing fine in here. We are already into week2 challenge and day-4 of the engagement challenge and it's an honor participating in this community once more. The contest this week is talking about Our activities in protecting the environment which is a very important topic because we all have to do the needful In protecting our mother earth. So I will happily be participating in it because of my love for mother earth. Without waisting any time, I will get start

As I said, this is a very important topic which we shouldn't participate just for the sake of this contest because it is extremely very important to take care of our mother earth. I am someone that loves protecting the environment so as to preserve our natural atmosphere and protect our mother earth. So I make sure I carry out a lot of of activities to protect the earth which I will be happily sharing with you guys

1. Home gardening

As I earlier said, preserving and protect the earth can be done in several ways. Today, I will be telling you how I use to protect the earth by planting crops around the compound

By planting food crops around your compound will make your compound look very beautiful and attractive but we have to look into environmental factors like making sure the crops have a stable temperature, light, nutrients, soil effects and most of all water to keep the crops moist. The plants that I plan in the compound is leeks, tomato, spices and water-leaf. Why I plant all this food crops at the compound is because they are very easy and fast to grow. It always take me about 1½ months to plant this crops and start harvesting.

Home gardening can protect the earth by replenishing the soil, cleaning the air and the soil. Home gardening always help in mitigating global warming which in turn helps in protecting the earth. Home gardening usually helps In reducing landfills and protect wildlife and pollinators..

With all this, you will realize that my home garden is very beneficial to the atmosphere because it helps alot in protecting the environment against so many things.

2. Carrying out Volunteers And Educating My community About The Importance Of Protecting The Earth

I always carry out voluntary work by doing general community clean up as we cleared and clean off the road and gutters which In turn helped in protecting the watershed and reducing mosquito infliction in my community. When it comes to promoting and educating the population about the importance of Protecting the planet, I always make sure I tell everyone around me why protecting the planet will benefit us and how we can do to protect the planet. I always tell them various and common ways of Protecting the planet such as doing general cleanups, recycling of materials, planting more trees, cleaning out waterways or gutters to be free from chemicals and so many other things

3. Switching Off My Bulb and Using Long lasting Life In Conserving Energy

At my home, I always make sure I switched off my bulbs when ever it is not in use so that I can contribute in saving energy hence also help I'm the reduction of carbon emission and many other greenhouse gases which are very harmful. This is why I always try as much as possible in protecting the earth by switching off the bulb when not in use. I make sure I also use buy long lasting light bulbs because they are always energy efficient hence helping in the effects of greenhouse radiation and emission of gases

4. Protecting The Earth By Emptying My Garbages At home

It should be noted that emptying our dirt in a garbage center is always beneficial and it's something we should endolge and engaged into because of how protective is to our mother earth. It protects our mother earth in several ways like protecting it from pests, protecting it in saving natural resources by recycling hence helping in reducing a huge chunk of wast material.

When you empty your garbage, it keeps your home tighty, very neat/clean, free from pollution especially air pollution which can be irritating and contagious because it brings flies and many sicknesses.

With all this advantages of emptying our refuge/dirt, I always make sure I empty all the dirt's in or around the compound into a general place where refuge are always being dump.

You can see that I try as much as possible in my part in protecting our mother earth in several ways which is what I will urged everyone to do because protecting our mother earth should always be our priority.
