My Day (Sat, May 6th, 2023): A Preparation of the future

"There is no time to play around and do things of your own, everyone needs to be focused on this preparation. The readiness of you today will determine the future of our company"...My Boss gave a brief instruction about the bidding document.

The day is getting closer to the final conclusion of the bidding dateline, and everyone getting more exhausted and some getting discourage, but hearing the fact from the CEO makes us able to push one more day to give our best effort to the company.

It is Saturday when everyone in normal circumstances will enjoy the weekend with family and loved ones, but we are in the office fighting with the paper and documents. I am in charge to support all of them and provide a final decision about the document or if there is any document need to be translated into English.

7.30 am, it hasn't been working hours yet, but the thing I need to check before the other employee arrived and cleans up the pantry. The thing is not that simple when you stay and work in the office, just the same as you live alone, and work at home. Your activities will also just walking around and having no other place to go, not seeing anything else than your backyard, kitchen, living room, and your working room, that is it.

I clean myself earlier today because I need to catch up with things before the meeting at 9.30 this morning. I call my colleague in Banda Aceh to check the readiness of the HSE document from the consultant, but he said that no progress reported yet. I am a bit frustrated actually since it is the most important project that we need to win, otherwise, we got nothing at the end of the year. That is why we make it all out for this one.

One after another, my colleagues arrived at the office and directly open the laptop and computer to start their task, and we talk about the business while preparing the document. I check them one by one to ensure their correctness and discussed them over again.

The meeting started at 9.45 am, and all of us reported according to the assigned task, I reported a stressful situation that the HSE document hasn't yet been finalized. The only solution is to find the old document that we still have and use it accordingly. My boss is trying hard to find another solution and provide advice to all of us. The good thing is I still have him to back up when I have no other choice to take.

It seems that the clock ticking faster, at 12.30 pm, some of the staff went out for lunch, and 3 of us stay in the office and enjoyed the lunch in the office.

After lunch, it was about 3.30 pm, and Lhokseumawe was getting rain, it was a blessing after the bright sky for over a week burned the city and make people prefer to stay in their homes or find shade in an open space to enjoy the breeze. We continue on preparing the document until 6:00 pm. I had a plan today to visit @heriadi in Geudong and discuss a few things about organic vegetable farming, but I don't have the ride to go there so I have to wait until the motorbike was returned.

I keep checking the document and find more than 10 websites to check the sample of the required document about HSSE. I found some, but it was a bit different than what I expected.

The nightfall, I prepared dinner before I went to Geudong to meet @heriadi, and at about 8.20 pm, I went to Geudong. The distance from my location to Geudong is about 4 km. I met Heriadi and Irawandedy in Hibrida Coffeshop and discussed a few things regarding the recent trend of the steemit.

There is nothing special about my day, how about yours?
