WSP Official Report: Organic Vegetable Farming Program

WSP is well known as the International Charity initiated years ago concerned with Education, Environment Protection, and Child Protection Support while promoting the steemit platform publicly. Several education programs have been implemented in some countries. The current program focuses on sustainable environment programs such as Solar Panel in Nigeria.

Recently, a new program just initiated in Indonesia as a combination program of Steem Promotion and Environment Protection by "Promoting the Organic Farming culture to the local community". The program is expected to create sustainable and fully organic vegetable farming to address the healthier food issue while protecting the yield from being contaminated with dangerous chemicals and having a bad effect on human health and destroying the land itself.

About the Program

• The steem promotion event will be conducted regularly during the implementation of the program targeting the young generation around the area and the worker of the farming land.

• The vegetable farming method will only use the organic composition and fertilizer for the best yield by planting it in a large polybag. This method is considered to prevent them from flood and control the amount of fertilizer consumed. Besides, using a polybag is the best way to maximize the control of pests and weeds. The total amount of 2000 (two thousand) polybags to be planted with two kinds of vegetables such as red chili pepper and tomatoes.

• The program will be monitored by the assigned team to ensure that the program is implemented as agreed. While the Monitoring and evaluation are conducted meet-ups with the local community will also be held as part of the steam promotion event.

This result makes me more excited to complete to program on a larger scale of farming

Period of the Program

This organic farming program will be implemented for three months with the steem promotion during the "monitoring and evaluation" period. The program will be started on March 13th-June 13th, 2023.

Budget

The three-month program budget is allocated about 5,000,000 IDR or equal to 1,725 steem as its recent price. The fund will be distributed in 3 phases which are the preparation phase, the planting phase, and the harvesting phase.

Implementation

The program will be started on March 13th as the preparation phase by starting the fencing, soil preparation, nursery, and seedling. It will take three weeks before the shoot is planted into the panting polybag

Post-Program Expectations Result

• The community will trust the steem platform as a promising platform and able to support a better life as long as the commitment is made in a long-term period.

• The community will adopt organic farming as their culture in future farming methods when it shows a significant harvest and economic value.

• Organic farming will influent the community to produce healthier food sources even though can be sold at a better price to support the local economic development.

• Develop a self-sufficient program for the community around the area.
