My Incredible 6-Month Journey: A Finalist in the VOS Singing Competition!

I am filled with emotions as I write this. What started as a simple post by @bossj23 six months ago which turned into an unforgettable journey of music and personal growth in the VOS Singing Competition. I want to share this amazing experience with you all.
It all began when our host @bossj23 announced the competition right here on Steemit.
The call was open to all, and I decided to step out and join. We were 17 talented contestants who submitted our entries, embarking on a marathon that would span five intense stages.

The competition was structured like a musical survival show. Each stage had its theme and challenge, with contestants being evicted along the way. One memorable stage was the "Bilingual Stage" a stage with a true test of versatility. This stage was worst because it was in this stage that some contestants ran for their dear life because of the song that assigned to them. As a singer, the song the gave me was Ve Te Voy Aamar a Venezuelan song we got me tired because the wordings of the song was unbearing.

The Different Stages
But I put in my best and passed the stage. The host @bossj23 created a WhatsApp group that became our sanctuary for encouragement, updates, and friendly banter. The rule was clear: eviction meant removal from the group, which made every advancement feel even more precious.
The global diversity was beautiful because we had talented contestants from Pakistan, Venezuela, and my home, Nigeria. By the final stage, the numbers had gone down to 4 contestants who made it to the finals.
The final task was to submit our last entry here on Steemit. Only four of us made it to the final point: three amazing ladies @bee5 , @vic-vine25 and myself, the lone male finalist @us-andrew.

Then came the judges and community vote to decide the winners. The host conducted the voting to avoid partiality.
The award presentation was a live event scheduled for 2 PM at Oxygen Club by Ring road Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. Due to unforeseen circumstances we started at 5:30 PM.
People from Pakistan and Venezuela and those who didn't make it to the event joined online while those of us in Nigeria gathered. The final four present were myself, @bee5 @vic-vine25 @sampson01, @imalex, and others. Sadly, @us-andrew was evicted just during the winner announcements.
The host, @boss23, opened with a heartfelt vote of thanks. He then announced the staggering prizes: 250 in STEEM and 10,000 Steem Power for the winner, along with other significant STEEM rewards for the runners-up which was 150 for first runner up and 50 for the second runner up.
We each performed live, singing to instrumentals provided by a supporting DJ. The talent on display was great.
Then came the moment of truth. @bossj23 built the suspense. "The winner... is in blue!" he announced.
Between the two remaining finalists in blue, it was @glorystar21 who was crowned the FIRST RUNNER-UP.
And finally, the moment we all awaited the announcement of the GRAND WINNER @bee5. Her joy was completely deserved. We're interviewed by @sampson01.
The prize distribution was as follows:
· Winner (@bee5): 250 STEEMS+ 10,000 STEEM Power
· First Runner-Up (@glorystar21): 150 STEEM
· Second Runner-Up: 50 STEEM
· Evicted Finalist (@us-andrew): 10 STEEM each as a consolation prize.
The celebration was epic. We the Nigerian finalists and the host first stopped at a market to get some drinks singing and rejoicing. We then headed to a Christmas Village a festive spot to eat laugh share stories and revel in our shared accomplishment. It was the perfect way to unwind after six months of hard work before we all departed home.

This was more than a competition it was a family built on STEEMIT. I’ve grown as a performer made incredible friends and learned the true meaning of sportsmanship.

This is unique. You caught every activity done that day in writing. I didn't really get to give the real suspense that day because of time. It would have been mad. You deserve to be among the winners as you have the voice for the competition. I hope next year, you'll take the cup.?
