However, there are also many people who make mistakes in using technology, so that technology that should facilitate human work causes destruction in human life itself.

In Indonesia itself, current technology continues to experience very far-reaching developments, one of which is in various fields of agriculture, so that all forms of stages of work carried out in agriculture are very beneficial for farmers and society in general. One of them is the use of rice cutting machines, where farmers are greatly benefited in terms of time and costs that must be spent.

In my own place, in North Aceh District, Aceh Province, Indonesia. The new rice cutting machine was known by farmers about 5 years ago. Because previously farmers were still using human labor when cutting rice, so the time spent in the harvest period was 2 to 3 days.

The process is when farmers harvest using human power, the rice is cut using a sickle, tied with rice stalks and then placed on top of the cut rice stalks in an effort to dry the rice before it is threshed using a manual rice thresher machine. And the next day after the rice dries up a little, the rice is collected in one big pile to be threshed using a machine.

In 1,600 square meters of rice plants, the human services used to cut rice use 6 cutters, with a price per person of Rp. 50,000 for a half day of work, or about 9 steem for today's prices. So for 6 people Rp. 300,000 or about 54 steem. Then the services of people who collect rice after it is cut in large piles are 2 workers, namely at a price of Rp. 80,000 for one person with half a day's work, because the work is 2 people, the costs that must be incurred by farmers to collect rice in one pile is Rp. 160,000, or 29 steem.

Then, for the service of threshing rice, farmers spend Rp. 325,000 for a land area of 1,600 square meters. So if you add up the farmers spend to harvest rice starting from cutting, collecting in one pile and threshing Rp. 785,000 or about 142.7 steem. Meanwhile, the costs incurred by the farmers when they use the rice cutting machine are Rp. 450,000 or about 81.9 steem.

So when farmers use rice cutting machine technology, farmers can save on costs of Rp. 335,000 or about 60.9 steem for an agricultural area of 1,600 square meters. Not to mention the time efficiency when using a rice cutting machine, which only takes one hour at most. Meanwhile, without using a rice cutting machine, it is very draining and takes 2 to 3 days.

With the technology that continues to develop, the benefits that are felt by farmers are extraordinary. Because farmers have used agricultural technology from land processing, harvesting and after harvesting, such as tractor technology, superior seed selection machines and various other technological tools.
