The Diary Game: [21/06/2026] How My Sunday Unfolded
Hi everyone, it's @investor08. I woke up early this morning with the smell of the day already in the air, so I grabbed my sandals and headed to the junction to buy akara and bread. The seller was already frying, the oil sizzling and the hot akara wrapped in nylon felt perfect against the cool morning breeze. I couldn’t wait to eat it before heading to church, it’s the kind of simple breakfast that just sets the day right.
Getting to church felt good after that quick bite. The compound was already filling up, people greeting each other in low voices before the service started. The singing kicked in and for the next couple of hours it was just worship, prayer, and sitting with the community. It’s one of those mornings where you leave feeling lighter than when you came in.
After service I came back home hungry again, and spaghetti with egg was already waiting, eating it while catching my breath after church hit different. Nothing fancy, just warm food and quiet at home, the perfect way to wind down the morning.
On my way back I also grabbed some biscuits and sweets since I’m a big lover of them. I couldn’t pass up the Oreo and Biscoff, plus a pack of those chocolate cookies and a few lollipops. Having them around means I’ve got something sweet to snack on later when I just want to sit down and unwind.
Later I stepped outside and spent a bit snapping pictures of the goat we’re rearing in the compound. It was chewing on something near the fence, unbothered, and the sunlight made the photos look clean. It’s funny how a goat can end up being one of the highlights of your Sunday.
