#burnsteem25 - Attention, Avoid non-copyright free images!
Dear Steem For BetterLife Community member...!
Steem For BetterLife continues to encourage all users to grow and develop on the steemit platform, not only users who consistently release posts in this community, but all existing users who continue to actively create creative and quality content throughout the community on this platform.
Along with the increasing number of active posters participating either in regular contests organized by myself @irawandedy, @klen.civil, or users who are interested in the Engagement Challenge. We are currently conveying that Steem For BetterLife Community has released a new Topic related to Challenge season 3 Week 4 with Topic "Steemit Engagement Challenge Season3 Week4 : The Role of the Various Genders".
Before the Engagement entrants participate in the regular Contest or Engagement Challenge, we expect all users to pay attention to and avoid using non-copyrighted images. We sincerely hope that all contestants will pay attention to this as a form of professionalism in writing and citing sources that give permission.
What are Copyright-free Images?
The internet has provided space for users to freely express themselves in the form of scientific or non-scientific writings, explore every corner of the world with internet facilities, but not a few of them ignore the copyright-free aspect in managing blogs or other media to write their works.
Copyright-free images are images that can be used freely by all users either in developing their website, or writing on other social media and in this case writing on the steemit platform, users can use the image freely by including the source.
Nowadays users tend to assume that every image taken from a search engine like google can be freely reused on the steemit platform even though it lists the source. This is wrong and should be of concern to users.
Impact of Using Non-Copyright Free Images
The use of non-copyrighted images can harm users and undermine the credibility of the platform. Here are some of the impacts that occur:
- Will be subject to criminal sanctions if the owner of the image makes a claim.
- Lowering the reputation of the website, websites that use images that are not copyright-free will be difficult to find in search engines.
- Website credibility will continue to decline.
How to get Copyright free Images
If you want to avoid the worst possible use of images, it's best to use free and copyright-free images by visiting the following websites:

- https://www.freeimages.com/, or any other copyright-free image provider website
We from the management of Steem For BetterLife Community hope that all users, both contest/engagement participants or other users, can pay attention to this as an important thing to avoid unwanted things.
Thank you for your attention and we thank you for your support and understanding.

Saludos.
Thank you for your input

Hi @irawandedy
In your text above, please add the missing word 'free'
Currently it reads :
It should read :
It's only day one of this current challenge and I am already finding participants linking to photos and graphics from pinterest and google ( of course they are not copyright free ).
@steemcurator02 Let me start by greeting you. My father is an autorickshaw driver. I study very hard. Along with my studies, I have private tutoring and with that money I started work on Steemit platform with mobile phone. My question is what kind of post can I get @Steemcurator02 votes. Please forgive me if there are any mistakes in my writing sir.
Thanks for the input... I'll fix it.
Absolutely agree with this.
But what's even better than copyright-free images is "canonical" content -- content which is only available on a single site. That's very valuable for SEO and for the overall site score for steemit.com.
Where possible, I've been creating original diagrams for my tutorial series rather than finding images online.
There are so many great tools available that you don't need to be a designer to create your own images.
