Swimming in the Sea of Steem
In my long journey on the Steemit platform from 2016 until now, I can describe that Steemit is likened to a vast ocean, I will move away from the beach when the wind blows hard accompanied by waves crashing on the coast.
Why should I go away from the beach? I assume that everyone would do it too, having no swimming skills, a phobia of waves and even trauma from the tsunami disaster.
What needs to be done to change this mindset so that you have the courage to face natural challenges? Many things can be done, including overcoming problems that occur, such as honing swimming skills, psychological therapy for past trauma and starting to try to face challenges through thorough preparation.
If each of these aspects is managed well, then everyone will dare to jump into the ocean even though big waves continue to crash on the beach. We will continue to swim and enjoy the beauty of the ocean without stopping.
Likewise, in the scope of Blockchain-based platforms, users need to prepare themselves to be able to grow and develop here, quite a few of them stop because they don't have a clear vision of the platform.
Support is a strong reason for newcomers to stop when they start to set foot in the ocean of Steem, even though there are many things that can be obtained by continuing and continuing to surf. Despite its initial status as plankton, the long journey has turned everything into minnows, dolphins and even orcas.
The changes that have occurred recently regarding verification management for newcomers will result in many users giving up before competing. Why could this happen? The reason is very simple, every user whose main orientation is instant results will fail, what they need to do is go through the process consistently so they can continue to stand tall and look forward to a better future.
It would be naive if all users here do not need income on this platform, it cannot be denied that I am one of the users who expects income through the works that I publish, but you need to know that the management and governance of the platform prioritizes the investment aspect in the form of Steem Power will increase income through curation.
Understanding properly the benefits of SP as a long-term investment which is passive income tends to be overlooked, even though there every user can reap abundant results in the future.
What about me?
I was one of the users who failed in the period from 2016 to early 2018, my consumerist orientation drowned me at the bottom of the Steem ocean, and I couldn't even swim to the surface. All my catch was washed away by the waves.
Several dolphins approached and rescued the coast of the ocean, 2021 is an era of awakening for me, armed with previous experience, I changed my orientation towards the ocean, I started swimming amidst the crashing waves as a minnow, continued and continued swimming until finally I became an orca and several dolphins.
This achievement is proof of my integrity in navigating the ocean. I continue to swim with minnows, plankton, dolphins and even other orcha. I continue to learn from them as plankton and complement each other, I continue to learn from the experiences of other orcas so that they can divide into several orcas, becoming more and more powerful so that they can conquer the ocean.
To strengthen me, today I added energy again by doing a power-up of 1415.935 steem. I believe this energy will make a significant contribution to the long journey in the ocean of Steem that stretches out in all directions.
Am I a Consumptive user?
Everyone has a relative view of their future in Steem, I am one of the users who takes advantage of the rewards from the long journey in the ocean of Steem.
Today's achievements in the real world are closely related to Steem, Steem has brought me a better life, able to improve my educational status to graduate and professional education, able to fulfil other essential needs for developing personal competence and career.
However, my use of rewards is very limited, if you look at the accumulated income I currently earn, I only enjoy around 20% of it, while the rest is used to increase the strength of my account in the form of Power-Ups.
There is nothing wrong if all the rewards obtained are cashed out, because this platform consists of several categories, as users who have the characteristics of writing and getting rewards, enjoying the results is objective. Then there is the category of investors who invest a certain amount of steem through purchasing on the exchange of FIAT currency and several other categories of users.
I choose to be a user who continues to write and get rewards, most of which are used to invest in Steem Power and the rest to accommodate essential needs that cannot be realized through monthly income in the real world.
Closing Statement
Let's continue swimming in the Sea of Steem even though the waves and strong winds keep hitting us, prepare ourselves as best as possible so that it becomes a big capital to grow and develop.
