Weekend in the Strait of Malacca

Nature always provides unlimited beauty, stunning natural panoramas, blowing winds and air that is free from pollution. Today, to fill a weekend holiday, with the extended family we visit one of the beach tourist destinations with a rich history of centuries past.

The Strait of Malacca has been an international trade route since the 15th century AD, now everything is just memories and fragments of stories that can be read by current and future generations.

Coincidentally, today I had guests from the district capital who are my wife's family, they wanted to go to Lancok beach which they said had previously only seen in pictures on social media, today while staying in touch and over the weekend they invited me to come along to Lancok beach which is in the Malacca Strait.

The journey to this beach is not far, from my house, the distance is about 1.5 kilometres. My group and I headed there, I went straight to the beach to accompany my two children who really like the beach, while watching them play, many other visitors took advantage of this holiday moment to swim at the beach.

I see many tourists who come from Central Aceh and Bener Meriah districts, they are tens of kilometres away willing to visit here to enjoy the beautiful beaches in the Malacca Strait, especially as they live in the highlands, so the sea and salt water are something special for them.

Starting from children, young people and even the elderly flock to the beach to enjoy the weekend and prepare themselves for work in the next 2 days. It seems that visitors have been enjoying it with great joy even though the wind is starting to blow very coldly from the sea.

Here, there are not only beautiful natural panoramas such as sunsets, but there are various facilities that are comfortable to visit with the family, there are many choices of food sold at each stand, and you are the one who decides whether you want to relax in the huts built in a row along the beach or choose to climb the building above. is above sea level.

With economical prices and many traditional and contemporary food menus available, it's not wrong to visit this place. As the picture above shows one of the places provided for relaxing, being on top of the building will be very exotic when you see the waves above with gusts of wind caressing your whole body.

But I prefer a hut built on a stretch of sand because the visitors are so dense, that's the only place left to occupy.

My children are very happy here, they play happily without getting tired until the sun goes down. They dig out the sand to form a pool and then take out sea water which is filled through a plastic bag, they take it back and return until it is full.

They ran here and there because they were happy, this was a moment that made them happy, I was also carried away by their happiness while sitting on a stretch of sand.

I just watched them so that my two children didn't swim and get carried away by the sea currents.

The call to prayer was heard and my family and I returned because we had to perform the Maghrib prayer and here it is also forbidden to be at the beach when night falls.

This is my memorable trip today and even though it is in my area, it turns out to provide many unforgettable memories.
