The Diary Game: Christmas in November celebration
How do you feel when you’re asked to leave everything and unwind after a very stressful day at work?? Trust me to always be found where ever enjoyment within reason is. That was how I felt attending our Women’s Christmas in November which we finally celebrated in December.😁.
This event had been slated for the last Sunday of November but due to clashing programs it was later moved to 7th December and our attire for the day was Old school.
You needed to see different outfits😂. I feel like a lot of folks rummaged through their parents closet because what was all the 70’s and 80’s I experienced in the name of outfits😂😂
7th being a Sunday is usually hectic for me, but this day was more as I had a couple errands to run after church and the meeting would start by 4:30pmWAT.
Somehow, I was able to finish up with my errands and get to the venue of the celebration by past 6pm. A good number of games had been played, laughter shared, still I was persistent to get my own share of everything going around and they weren’t just edibles.
Once I arrived, I properly interstates myself into all the festivities, greeting people, asking if I could lend a hand with a few edibles being chopped and generally getting the feel of the gathering.

Good thing i came in as light refreshments was going round. My first rate was of this spicy tomatoe sauce and native puff puff. It was so peppery and an awake that we were in hot december. It was so good that I had to go ask for the bowl of unfinished sauce when it had gone round.
No shame when it comes to my belly

Next was the fruit platter, a panel session was already going on at this point and questions about any and everything relating to women were being asked. From relationships, to dealing with heartbreaks, to knowing when one is ready for marriage, to Christian faith, it was a round circus. It was so intense that someone asked and I quote;
- How do I shape my mouth and pray for thunder to fire the person who broke my heart????
This drew an uproar of laughter from everyone and some feverish chatter. Once the chatter died, the speaker answered that for one, you can’t call thunder from heaven for anyone for heartbreak. The best thing would be to forgive the person, heal and move on. This was only possible by the help of the Holy Spirit as heartbreaks were a messy stuff to deal with.
As these and many more conversations were going on, the fruits were being handed out. Trust me to get some juicy part

I ate, laughed, asked questions, got clarity on some issues and then we called it a night, but not after we had done our shoutouts and danced the floors in.
Why not if not, Christmas in November comes once a year and till it comes my way again, I was going to make the best use of this one I’d seen.

Thank you for the support.
