I consider them part of my family. I always feed them. My cats won't eat without fish, and they don't like salted fish either.
Yes, Gosha was poisoned... most likely, he ate a poisoned rat, and his kidneys failed. It was terrible, there was nothing we could do to help him, we noticed too late. My red-haired baby is running across the rainbow.

Such a beauty... my son's cat had kidney failure as well. The vet couldn't do much more than infusions. It was a drama to drive him over and he refused to eat that food and take the meds or whatever they let my son pay for. Next the vet said: if he doesn't want it, don't give it.
I told my son to let him stay home and do as he likes. All the stress isn't great if you die. It was better for him to die at home instead at the vet's place.
We gave him his junkfood and he arose from the dead. It's about 1 year later by now and he is more active and jumpy as he was as a kitten.
