I love chickens and keep them at my place in the village. It’s labor-intensive and expensive, and on top of that, here in Russia they’ve passed a law requiring us to register our birds with certain government agencies. It seems like this law was passed by people who’ve never kept chickens themselves.

I love eggs and these fluffy little creatures—I’ve bred a couple of purebred hens of each breed: Faverolles, Morans, and Michelese Cuckoos. I pet them just like kittens.)
