It's a pleasure on my path to share with you all my entries in this week's contest which is titled "How do you Measure your Success?" which was organized by @shiftitamanna. It is an interesting contest and I would love to drop my entry ASAP.

Before we go ahead I would like to invite @waterjoe, @solaymann, and @msharif to join this contest in this community today and share their participation as well, I do hope to see and read your entries as well.

✅ What is success according to you?

Success has many definitions given by different people depending on the way they experience it. I will also define success based on my experience or encounter.

To be successful means to achieve a certain goal or target. When you become rich with time, it means you are a successful person. When your business grows it means you are successful. Also if you advance in your Academy, it means you are successful.

So as you can see success depends on what you have been able to achieve. It doesn't matter what you do but provided you are making progress in whatever you do, it means you are a successful person.

✅ How do you measure that you are successful?

I measure my success by looking back at where I started and then comparing it to where I am at the moment. When there is tangible growth or movement from where I started to where I am, then I will conclude that I'm successful.

So to be successful means you must take into consideration where you started from and where you are at the time of measuring the success. If you notice that instead of going forward you are going backward then you are not successful.

If you check properly and you notice significant growth or progress then you will agree with me that very good progress has been made already and that is success.

✅ Are you successful in your personal or professional life?

Well, I will say I'm successful to some extent because I have graduated from a higher institution which is a journey I started years ago. I can say that I have been able to progress from primary school to being a graduate.

So my personal life has seen success and even financially, I have been able to grow myself and my SP from 0 to about 1,000+ Steem power which to me is a great achievement.

I have long worked to get here and I'm delighted because looking back on where I started I never knew a day would come when I would also reach this amount of Steem power.

✅Why is it important to measure success?

Measuring success is important to everyone because that is the only way to know if you are making progress or not. If you are making progress you will notice that when you measure your success and if you are not you will also know.

The major aim of measuring this success is because you want to improve in places where you need improvement. If you don't check you won't notice that there is a need to make a change or improvement. So always measure your success to see places where improvement is needed.

This is the major way one can use to grow better. You will always work and ensure there is improvement which will result in better results ahead.
