MY FAVORITE SPORT: BADMINTON

Hello fellow steemians,
I am very happy for this contest and I am willingly participating in it so that I can also let you know my favorite sport game; it’s origin, rules and benefits to human (it’s participants). It is my favorite game because I used to enjoy playing it back at Senior High School and I have obtained a lot of benefits from it, being social, physical and a whole lot.

DISCRIPTION

A rectangular court that is divided by a net is used to play the racket game of badminton between two opposed players (singles) or two opposing pairs (doubles). By hitting a shuttlecock with their racket so that it crosses the net and landing in their rivals' half of the court, players get points. A rally is terminated once the shuttlecock touches the ground, and each side may only hit the shuttlecock once until it crosses the net. Sweating while being joyful helps you get healthier.

RULES OF BADMINTON

Badminton is a fun, physical activity that has a few simple rules just like any other game and is simple to play. The game involves general rules and rules for singles and doubles, below are some of the rules of the game;

1). The cork must be served diagonally to the opponent(s)

2). The cork must not be allowed touch the flour or becomes a point against you

3). You must not use your hand to hit the cork rather than the racket or it becomes a foul against you

4). The cork must not be played to the extend that it exceeds the court; for singles, it must not be played outside the first division of the court, and for doubles, it must not go out of the whole court.

5). The player or the racket must not touch the net or it becomes a point against.

BENEFITS OF BADMINTON

Just like any other sports game, badminton has a lot of benefits for its players, below are some of these benefits;

1). It strengthens one’s muscles, makes them more vigor and increases blood flow.

2). Playing badminton has benefits for the mind in addition to its physical wellness. It makes one smart and able to think fast and make decisions quickly.

3). It helps one to acquire lot of stamina

4). Socially, it brings about unit and socialization among players of different teams, especially during games.
These are some of the benefits including many others one may think of as a sports personality.

CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

I will like to thank @sofian88 for such a wonderful contest, and to everyone for their entries. I recommended that all those who are not involved in any sporting activity should kindly make it a point to start now, for sports carries a lot of benefits.
