The diary game // 13 October 2023 // Friday// working on my farm and going out with friends
Today's start time was unusually early for me. At 5:00 AM, the alarm clock forcefully woke me up. I rubbed my eyes and stumbled out of bed to start my day.
I started off by doing my regular housework, including a little laundry and tiding up my room. Even though it's always a bit of a rush, I find having a clean home in the early morning hours to be strangely gratifying.
I departed for the farm following the chores. I quickly stopped at the neighbourhood market on the way there to get some some food for breakfast before I start my activity. I always feel energized by the market's brilliant colours and active crowd.

My main responsibility on the farm was to clear out congested crops. Although it was arduous work in the blazing sun, the cadence of it had a hypnotic aspect. It is quite satisfying to smell the dirt and enjoy watching the field change.

I was worn out by late afternoon, and I was very worried after I saw how the pest had destroyed the crops. I got ready and left for home. I felt refreshed after a little nap and shower.

I went out with some pals in the evening for some much-needed fun. We recounted stories over dinner at a neighbourhood eatery while laughing so hard that our sides hurt. Moments like these are what make working hard all day worthwhile.

Today was a long, exhausting, yet rewarding day that was mixed with both duties and pleasures. I'm appreciative for the company of excellent friends and the small pleasures of life.
We then left the restaurant to our various ways after we were done and sorted every bill. I went home and took my bath, watched some television programs and slept for the day.
