The Diary Game: Fetching Water And Hustle Mode On Valentine's Day(14-02-2026)

My Saturday started with morning prayer before I stepped outside to sweep, I finished sweeping and it was time to have my bath and get ready for work. I noticed water was rushing in our compound and I spared some minutes to fetch so we won't have to roam the neighborhood in search of water when we return from work. I refilled the empty rubbers before I left to work. When I got to the shop, my neighbor was surprised to see me and so she asked if I don't celebrate Valentine, I told her I have till evening before the real deal. I can't stay back from my business for a one day celebration besides it's sweeter in the evening so I have the day to work. I opened my shop and arranged it and before I could blink, there were lots of customers waiting to buy one item or the other. They complained about some shops being closed and I knew, it's my big sales day since I'm the only one open for the day.

In the afternoon when I was less busy, I picked some test scripts my friend had given me to mark to do the needful and this was after I had charged myself with the scripture and also studies the Bible to know what to teach in the children ministry on Sunday since I'm now on charge of them. I was impressed with the performance of the students, only two students had very poor marks out of a class of thirty seven.

I paused to attend to customers and later took a thirty minutes break before I did the final marking. When I finished, I picked my phone to call my food vendor to know if she is active or she's on valentine off too and I wasn't surprised when she said the latter. As I dropped the call, my husband walked in with a plate of paw paw and I jokingly asked if it was my Valentine's gift. I collected it and ate, God knew I needed something for my stomach because I was so famished and he sent me fruits through my husband.

In the evening by 5pm, my husband asked that we close and return home. I was excited knowing that it's about to go down, I quickly locked my shop and walked back home with him. We got home, took my bath and got dressed and we went out on a date night. I also received a brand new luxury handbag from my husband and I, in return gifted him a brand new automatic buckle belt and Pams. We completed our celebration in the other room and I was fast to doze off, forgetting to make my diary.
