First chemistry practical in the university
I remember when I was in high school few years ago and each time we do a chemistry practical in school our chemistry always form two to three groups in the lab and he always assign one student to be a leader in each group most especially the ones he knows that are capable to take that role.
Chemistry was my best subject in high school, maybe that was reason I'm studying chemistry in the university, out of coincidence I guess. When I saw the course in my portal I had no choice but to accept it and I said to myself "Kelvin is time to go to the university".
On the day of the chemistry practical I was excited because I haven't done a practical like that since I graduated from high school. We all gathered at the entrance of the chemistry lab wearing our lab coat and shoe as well as holding out chemistry manual. Ten students were in each group and I also got a group that day. My group consists of students from different departments like geology, anatomy and others. It also consists of 3 boys and 7 girls.
I'm was the only student from chemistry department in my group and this made my group members to urge me to be the group leader since the practical is all about chemistry. I insisted that someone else should be the group leader because I wasn't fully prepared for the practical and I wasn't ready to take any leadership role for now. Another person became the leader and we began the practical.
We did two different experiments that day and I told my group members that we should all ensure that we don't break any of the apparatus (test tube, beaker and others). Some apparatus got broken in other groups and the lab attendant instructed them to pay for it before they release their manual. Yes we submitted our manuals to be signed since the signature is an evidence that we did the practical.
We successfully finished the practical without breaking anything though we also had a little misunderstanding while carrying out the practical because of some confusions but we sorted it out, returned the apparatus and collected our manuals. We also wrote our name and phone number in a piece of paper then the group leader created a WhatsApp group where we can get further informations. We took pictures together before leaving the lab and it was really a good moment.

Oh, it's been so long since I studied chemistry... I didn't really like it and hardly studied it, but for some reason I often won prizes in chemistry competitions! It was amazing!
Is good to hear you won prizes in various chemistry competitions it shows that you are good in it. Chemistry is very complex and interesting.
