my neighbor celebrating her twin
On this day as ever normal day, i woke up from bed at about 6am, didn't my devotion and prepared for work. Since my house is closest to the hospital, im never in a haste as i have partitioned my time so well that i get to work before 8am.
On this day, after preparing and dressing up, we started hearing music playing, coming like that from an orchestra. This is very scared to happen in our community as many at times, when this is happening, it is mostly considered as a dead celebration or corpse removal from a rich family as barely few individuals can afford such services.
Everyone was asking, who has died or what was really going on?? ... we didn't get answers as those around didn't seem to have a clue about what was going on.
So in the midst of the confusion, i left for work. But ot wasn't something worrisome as we didn't get the cry of anyone but it was a sound of celebration.
Arriving the hospital, i realized it was a close neighbor celebrating her children's birthday. They are twin, a boy and a girl .
Children are a gift from God and they are worth celebrating. These amazing twin turn 1 today and indeed their parents were happy and celebrated them.
Celebrations in this capacity are scaeres in our locality like i said because very few people can afford it. The parent hired an orchestra to play round the streets. Children and adults matching along as they played. It was amazing. This match pass was done within the early morning.
During the day, preparations such as cooking, continued. I wasn't really aware of the celebration and i was on duty that morning. So i stayed on duty while a littke gift was purchased for them. It was parceled.
The celebration was one of its kind, a popcorn machine was hired, icecream was also hired. The place was beautiful decorated. Children came in from all directions. They sang, danced and so on. It was really interesting.
I stood from a far while enjoying the event, since I was on duty, i couldn't fully attend. It was great watching those kids dance.
Though it was the first anniversary, i could feel the happiness of those twin. People had never visited their house that much, they were so happy as they played with other children.
The party continued. Immediately i was done, i rused to the celebration ground to hand over my gift.
After spending some few hours there, i left for home.
