28th march 2023 / MY INTERNAL PROJECT DEFENSE!!!

I wished every single day
I imagined every passing day
And the day was finally here!!!

At the end of a student's stay in college in my school, a student carries out a research project, after all the time and resources put into everything, a presentation is carried out where you tell an audience consisting members of that particular department, professors, lecturers, non teaching staff, fellow students and colleagues what your work is all about.

We call it INTERNAL DEFENSE

I should have brought this up earlier than today, but my very busy schedule wouldn't let me. And I thought to myself I will definitely have to share this little win with my steemit family.♥️

That morning, I woke up with so much vitality and ready to dish out from my wealth of knowledge.

---

I was happy the long-started research project of almost 2 years was coming to an end.

---

I got prepared, dressed and ready to move.

The arrival:

I arrived at the school premise, and went straight to the venue where the event was going to be held. I went quite early so I met a few of my colleagues and we were just overjoyed.

We discussed our various projects and got ready, that is, rehearsed how the presentation was going to be like and what we were gonna say. We were so enthusiastic about the whole event and we just couldn't stop smiling.

Then,one after the other, the lecturers in my department (Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology) arrived at the venue including the head of department, technical staff, non teaching staff, and various professors from the department. Students and colleagues were all present and seated.

It was time to kickstart the event, an opening prayer was made by a student followed by an opening remark from the head of department who gave us a run down of what we are to expect from the INTERNAL DEFENSE, he also advised that we comport ourselves and make fluent and meaningful presentation.

Other lecturers spoke to that effect, and we were set to start the big deal for the day, our presentation!!! The project was set up so that slides would be used for the presentation.

The first student was called upon, and she gave a beautiful presentation about nano crystals( I'll make a post on that subsequently).

The second student, third, fourth and there about till it got round to everyone who were to present.

After each presentation with PowerPoint slides, the judges sitted, will ask more questions for clarification and proper understanding. Comments and suggestions are welcomed from everyone including the students present.

---

At the end of the day, you will be graded appropriately and will form part of your final results in the faculty of pharmacy.

---

As the table turned, it was finally time for me to speak. Tensed a little bit, but I got up. I wore a smile like nothing happened and as I approached the judges, I felt a strange endowment of confidence and courage. My slides were ready so I began my presentation.

I spoke like I had the whole situation under my control. My research topic is quite new, so it makes the topic very interesting (I'll talk on the topic maybe in a separate post).

---

At the end, questions were asked by the judges and other lecturers which I carefully answered to their satisfaction.

---

All the students involved participated in the exercise until everyone spoke.

---

We were given food during the defense actually my favorite part tho 🥰

---

We took more pictures and more pictures and then the INTERNAL DEFENSE was over and it was time to go and prepare for another defense which will be on my next post.
