The Diary Game: Thieves Struck But It Didn't Stop The Birthday Party(20/05/2026)

Greetings to you, I am Emmanuel with my username as @smithbillz. Today made my boss's son two years and it was celebrated in a big style. His name is Oyok-idara interpreted in English as Joyful. I like playing with him when his mommy brings him to the shop. I didn't have much to gift him today so I joined other well wishers to celebrate with him today but this was not the first activities of my day. I woke up happy knowing I will have something to eat today because I saw my boss status when she posted her son's birthday and said they will be a party and she invited people to come to the shop by 4pm.

I swept the compound and fetched water while the others did the remaining chores. I took my bath and dressed up for work but before I left the house, I ate breakfast. The food wasn't that sweet as it was just groundnut oil, pepper, maggi, salt and onions that were used in cooking the rice but I still managed it anyways as I didn't have any other option. I finished eating and left to work, my boss arrived at the bar before me and I didn't even have a good excuse for coming late when I got there.

We opened and noticed the worst had happened, thieves broke into the shop and made away with the show glass and television. My boss wanted asking who locked the shop but since she was the one, she couldn't go ahead in asking the question. She alerted her police friend and she was invited to the station to make a statement, she lost concentration and all I could do was check the stocks to know what has been stolen and the ones left. When the tension died down, I swept the bar and surrounding and gathered much dirts the wind littered around.

We couldn't do our POS transaction today because the terminal was stolen. My boss left without much words or directives on what to do so we had to order few crates of beer to be refrigerated before customers comes in for it. Almost everyone who came to the shop sympathized with us and few who were really close to my boss supported her with some cash. When the drinks arrived, I packed them inside and places them in the fridge.

In the mid afternoon, my boss guest came in for the birthday celebration and even when all wasn't going well, the birthday party was still a success. We closed early immediately after the birthday celebration and I went home though I joined my coworkers to go and play snookers but I didn't play, I only watched them as I didn't know how to play the game.
