There is no water, and life has stopped.

It's hard to believe, but yesterday our river, full-flowing and mighty, was a living artery, pulsating with energy. Today, she is just a pathetic imitation of herself, a shallow stream running along the exposed bottom. The reason for this disaster is the attacks that damaged the dam. And now we, the inhabitants of these places, feel the full weight of the consequences.

Water is life. And when she leaves, the usual way of life, hopes, and the future go with her. The first to suffer were those who directly depend on the river. Fishermen whose nets are now empty and whose boats are moored. Farmers whose fields, recently watered with a generous hand of water, are now covered with cracks. If there is no water, there is no harvest, and there is no feed for livestock. That means no food, no work, no livelihood.

But the problems are not limited to agriculture. Traffic on the river stopped, barges carrying goods stopped. Communications are disrupted, logistics are disrupted. For many businesses located along the river, this means a shutdown of production, losses, and possibly complete bankruptcy.

And that's not all. We are experiencing a shortage of drinking water. Where it used to be clean and affordable, now you have to make herculean efforts to get at least the minimum amount. People's health is at risk, because lack of clean water is a direct path to various diseases.

The scariest thing is the oppressive feeling of uncertainty. How long will this trouble last? Will the dam be rebuilt? When will the water come back? There are no answers, but fear and despair are growing. The children, who are used to splashing in the river, now look at its dried-up riverbed with bewilderment. Old people, whose lives are inextricably linked with the river, sadly recall the old days.

This situation is not just a natural disaster. This is a tragedy brought about by human cruelty. The attacks that damaged the dam brought not only destruction, but also suffering to entire communities. We see how easily what has been built for generations can be destroyed.

The main thing now is to join forces. I need help, and I need it as soon as possible. We need specialists who will be able to assess the damage and begin restoration. We need support so that those who have lost everything can start from scratch.

May this dried-up riverbed become a reminder to us of the value of peace and how fragile our lives are. And let the sound of water in our river resound as soon as possible, bringing life and hope back to our homes.

How painful it is to watch the river, once the lifeblood of our society,
turn into a mirage.

Your words reveal the extent of the suffering endured by the people after this devastation, and how the absence of water has impacted every aspect of life.

Despite all this pain, your message remains clear:
Strength lies in unity, and hope begins with cooperation and mutual support.

I hope aid arrives quickly, and that the river returns to give you life once more.

Our hearts are with you.
