How come there's no candle blowing? Do the children play games together? That's what I remember from my childhood. Hide and seek, a race where we jumped in bags and eating a cookie that hung on a wire with your hands on your back. Simple games and they brought a lot of fun. So is watching a film together although I never liked popcorn and potato chips.
Sometimes we also made figures out of bread dough or dug for "gold" doing a tour through the neighbourhood.
