How do you balance work, family, and personal time? Tell us.
I think everyone knows how to manage their time across these three areas.
Just because you don’t have a traditional job outside the home—like at a school or an office—doesn’t mean you’re not working when you’re at home. In fact, I think I work even more now; that’s my current job, since I retired as a teacher a few years ago.
Since my work is the home, in the mornings I do the usual household chores: breakfast, then cleaning; if it’s laundry day, I do the laundry; early on, I plan what we’ll have for lunch.
That and more—once I’ve finished the housework, I move on to my other work, like being here on Steemit, or working on one of my side projects.
For my children, who are my only family at home, we look for ways to spend happy times together, like going out for ice cream, taking walks, or staying home to plan a hot dog night or a movie night with popcorn.
And my personal time—well, I also dedicate that to things like doing my hair, my nails, or going out with friends.
