The Diary Game: Cooking Oha Soup And Consoling My Aunty Who Lost Her Husband(23-12-2025)

While at the shop this morning, a lady brought beef meat and oha leaf for sale and it was as if she was divinely asked to cross my path. Only myself and God knows how much I craved for this soup especially on Sunday morning when I perceived the aroma from my neighbor's kitchen, it was as if I should go asked them to scoop me a plate but fast forward to yesterday, I bought the beef meat and oha leaf so I could prepare the popular igbo soup OHA.

I prepared the soup which wasn't too hard for me because I have prepared it before but customers came in like flood and I couldn't finish cooking early. You know money will always be prioritized, I couldn't let my customers leave without attending to them. I dished my meal and filled my stomach with it before taking a chilled drink from the fridge to help digest the meal. I couldn't resist the sleep that came afterwards that I had to go home and sleep for some hours while my sales girl managed the shop.

My sakes girl woke me up with a call announcing that hollandis yougurt has finished in the shop. I woke up, changed my dress and went out to the wholesale shop to buy two cartons of hollandis yougurt. I returned to the shop with the yoghurt, stayed till late evening when I stepped out to visit my aunty who lost her husband. It's a terrible thing to loose a loved one this festive season, while others are celebrating, you'll be mourning and possibly hating on the session. I lacked the right words in consoling her but my prayers are with her.

I spent some hours with her and went back home, I took my bath and ate before coming here to tell you about my day. I'm happy to be part of the @steemit family, God bless us all.
