SLC-S24/W4 - Powerful Debate | Deal or No Deal
Hello everyone i hope you all are good and enjoy your life. In todays fast-paced digital world the question of whether mobile phone should be banned in school often spark heated debates. Some believe phones are a source of distraction While others argue they are essential learning tool. As a tuition teacher Who regularly teaches student from modern schools like Beaconhouse I Strongly believe That banning mobile phone in school is not the right solution. so for me its a No Deal.
Mobile Phones as Learning Tools
Education is rapidly shifting towards digital learning. Many of my student are already using Chromebook and for those Who do not have access to laptop mobile phone become a reliable alternative. They use them for watching recorded lectures accesing Google Classroom reading eBooks and even doing assignment. In such cases banning mobile phones would mean Cutting off a vital resource for student.
Access to Information
Gone are the days when students had to wait for the teacher answer or find a library to do research. With just a few taps on their Phone students can access vast information from websites educational platforms and even videos that explain difficult topics in an easy way. In fact many of my own lessons involve Asking students to Google definitions solve quizzes or watch a short animation on a science topic to Enhance understanding.
RealLife Examples from My Tuition Class
I teach students from various schools including some top institutions. One of my students Ahmad once had trouble understanding a math topic. I asked him to open Khan Academy on his mobile and within 15 minutes he understood the concept far better than with traditional explanations. Another student used their phone to scan and submit assignments using apps like CamScanner during online learning. These are just two of many examples where mobile phones have supported learning not harmed it.
Guidelines Instead of Bans
Yes mobile phones can be a distraction when not used correctly. But banning them is not the answer. Instead schools should set clear usage guidelines like restricting phones during lectures but allowing them during digital learning periods or research time. Teachers and parents should guide students on responsible use rather than remove the tool altogether.
Safety and Communication
In emergencies having a mobile phone helps students stay connected with their families. It also gives peace of mind to parents especially in countries like Pakistan where transportation and safety issues are a concern. Imagine a child needing help but not being able to contact anyone because phones are banned is that really safer?
| Technology is not the enemy. It is the way forward. Banning mobile phone are completely in schools is like closing the door to innovation . Instead of banning them lets educate students on how to use them wisely and responsibly. With proper supervision and guidelines mobile phones can be powerful educational allies. |

Yes right.... but we should adopt the technology... this the reality if ignore the revolution it harm the future of student... everyone is know that AI is the big revolution we should teach to the students how to use it in positive way
