I can't trust my brain any longer...

Deep inside my heart, I'm forced to wonder why the brain can choose to neglect you when you need it most. Some of us have experienced this, that sudden "blackout" during an important examination or interviews.

In my case, it happened while boarding a bus to school. The 15-minute journey felt like it would take a lifetime, so I decided to make productive use of that time.

Guess what I did? I opened the Steem Memory Game.

As I flipped the cards, I could feel like my brain simply taking a break. It had probably felt overwhelmed by the cards that looked almost identical. I knew the issue immediately. It wasn't the game itself, it was my brain protesting to be fed.

It was hungry for adequate information. We experience this as well. You know that moment when a topic becomes clearer after you've studied some past questions? Exactly!

My worst scores ever.🤦🏽‍♀️

I realized I didn't truly recognize the symbols I was trying to match. I had to go back to the main post to identify what are on the cards. Forgive me, but some of us have deficient knowledge in some aspects of life. And even though I knew the sports on the cards, I struggled to identify or match the appropriate symbols to them.

Once I fed my brain that missing information, I felt lighter to continue. Oh, look how my performance skyrocketed in the space of 2 minutes!

It feels exciting to watch myself amass these points in less than 40 seconds. Another game that gives me a joy so close to this is Scrabble.

So many people rarely recognise it as a sport. It's reclined to the back as an indoor game for family time while physical sports like football take the front row.

Every competitive game is a sport. Am I correct?

But then I classify every game that demands tactical precision, intense mental stamina, and the discipline to improve as a sport. If football trains our bodies, then Scrabble trains our minds.

Moving on, I'm aiming to finish the game in less than 30 seconds. Let's see what happens when we don't give up.
