International women's day

It is another week passed and actually already couple of weeks ago I marked that day on the calender. The reason is we always celebrate this International Women’s day. When I was a child I remember the time when my father on this day always brought some fresh tulips to my mother. Since then I really love tulips. For me they are tulips are symbol of spring, I like the fact that they are different colours. Of course, first time I saw the red ones and maybe because my father wanted to show his love. Later on when we were in school and also we gave the flowers to our teachers or maybe to our friends girls, we chosen different colours my other favourite was yellow. I also love the purple or violet and also with white strips. I heard that the Netherlands are reach of different colours of tulips and it is a country like a mother land for tulips.

Since I started my University we also celebrate Women’s day, usually the boys from our speciality do a little party like it was last year. This year, all the girls in our group received flowers from our boys. It was a surprise this morning. We were very pleased for that.

Also tonight the boys invited us for little evening that is organised by our boys, it will be a gathering in Student’s hostel. We will order pizzas, some drinks and of course we make some salads.

Just before our evening party I have spoken to my mother and congratulated her. She loves when I remember that day, she told me that I do not need to present any flowers but she was happy to hear my voice. We had a good chat I explained that we have party and of course she was worried and as any mother told me: Do not be too late home! It is so funny no matter how old the children will be we are always children for our parents.

Today I wanted to wish all the Women wonderful day to th is International Women’s Day!
