Wow! And the advantage I saw in the houseboat was that if you didn't like your neighbors, you could just sail away to better ports.
Now there are directions even in the water. They control us completely, and on top of that, they're wasting our taxes!
You can take the axe for the ice and use it for the neighbour's boat ...
Water with us isn't free. You cannot just decide to buy a boat and put it there. If you like to fish you need a paper and to pay a fee.
If you have a boat or yacht you need a license plus you pay for wherever you want it to be or stay. Taxes are generated out of everything. The more you own, the more taxes, payments, worries...debts, loans and more loans ..
It seems that with the taxes on everything, there will come a time when only the rich will live in the Netherlands and it will be impossible for us to survive there.
The rich intend to make one big datacenter out of the Netherlands and force farmers to stop. Without farmers, no food. Not only for us but also many others abroad. I doubt they care about people...
The new world will be one of slavery like in the book: Brave New World.

It is a fact that it is impossible to live without various shops and farmers. Therefore, if we say that only rich people can live in such places, it is not possible because they also get the essential items they need to live from shops and farmers.
Those cheering the loudest farmers should disappear are the present young adults, spoiled 25-35 years old. Not understanding a thing about food. Same for thei children. School filled their brains with nonsense.
I read your other comment about understanding things too late. Do not worry about that. It is the goodness of your heart why people fool you or put you on the wrong track.

I attribute this to my own mistake rather than to other people, because sometimes something right in front of us goes unnoticed, and we only realize it much later.
It's no wonder foreigners who come to Paraguay feel like they're in paradise, even though the country seems like a medieval village in many ways haha... But taxes are low. That said, don't expect the healthcare system to save your life!
What makes you believe it will here? I haven't visited a doctor since they messed up the last time which is at least 13 years ago...
Not that it is easy to get an appointment for ten minutes max.
Well, I suppose that even though the system is a disaster, I don't think university degrees sell as well as they do in my country. We have doctors, lawyers, and teachers practicing with degrees they bought. They didn't complete the required coursework. Does something like this happen in your country?

Big mouth, bragging, showing diploma made in the internet pretending you studied here or abroad, does the trick too.
Ia journalist tried..within 30 minutes (reading wikipedia for 10-20 minutes) to give the right answers) he was hired as a: pilot, surgeon and some more jobs one should think an education isneeded.

They say it is hard to check the diploma since schools and universities change them through the years, AI does the rest and if it comes to it no one cares except banks may check you out + the government.
They sound like fiction, but it happens, and in many places. I'm honestly afraid I might need a doctor in the future. That's not even mentioning that many young people now just want to be influencers or gamers!
Doctors? With us it is hard to get one. If you want an appointment you need to schedule 3 months ahead.
During the summer vacation (6 weeks) no doctors available in the wide area. Only if you die or better are dead.
One of the ladies of the painting group said she made a remark about it to the doctor. The answer was: better get used to it.
With us they all are in the same building, working part-time and there's someone answering the phone. I received an email and the doctor wrote about this and said we better ask friends, family the neighbour if we have issues. Well, that is what my grandmother's did. (AI is not needed 😁). The next step is we share our meds and doctors are no longer needed.

What happened to that oath doctors used to take? Now it says except during vacations? The only thing that makes me happy about artificial intelligence is that doctors will be replaced by it.
We should never rely on a diagnosis based on human memory, but it is what it is... We had a case of malpractice where a dentist prescribed 1 gram of fluoride for a medication.
It turns out that the amount was lethal, and the patient undergoing a dental procedure died. The worst part is that the patient was in her final year of dental school.
That subtle difference between a gram and a milligram proved lethal. How many times do they miscalculate doses and then declare a natural death?
But naturally, dying from an overdose is also natural!
