We have been living with artificial intelligence systems and simulators for many years, but it is only now that their results are beginning to surprise us. Not only because of what they are capable of doing, but also because of how affordable they are becoming. It does not require a large investment to be able to experiment with some of these systems. Because of my love of art, Artificial Intelligence image generation systems are the ones that have caught my attention the most. Although they are far from being a definitive solution, they are an extraordinary help for artists. Thanks to these systems, they can get tons of inspiration and sketches on which to develop projects that they can then customise to their liking.

As with any advance that represents a quantum leap in the development of tasks that were previously carried out more or less manually, the use of AI is not without controversy. A large part of the artist community is strongly opposed to AI. Sterile opposition, I submit, as progress is not going to stop because of them. As we have demonstrated over thousands of years of evolution, our response must be that which most differentiates us from other living things; adaptation. We must learn to take advantage of these new technologies and we must know how to make them work for us. It will not be easy, but even less so if the attitude is one of rejection of the inevitable.

During the tests I have carried out, I must confess that I have been pleasantly surprised by the results. Although, as I mentioned, they are still far from satisfactory. It took me dozens of attempts to obtain an acceptable image. It is true that some AI systems are more developed than others. Have you tried any of them? What do you think of the results?

Perhaps the best way to talk about this subject is to let the results of our tests speak for themselves. That's why I want to run a contest and would like to do it on a regular basis, if it receives support from the community.

Contest rules:

Share with us an illustration created by AI on the theme we propose.

• Duration: 2 weeks from the publication of the competition.
• You can use any AI image generation software.
• Including generation data (prompt, iterations, model, etc) will be valued.
• Post-production is allowed (even recommended). Indicate the process. For example: Created with Midjourney, post-production with Photoshop.
• Please respect the community guidelines regarding NSFW content. It is allowed, but you must include the NSFW tag in your post.
• Any style is allowed: realistic, cartoon, manga, abstract, etc.
• Illustrations that denigrate, belittle or damage the image of people or groups or any subject outside of the law are not allowed. Violence, gore, explicit pornography and child sexuality are strictly forbidden. Special attention to the manga or anime genre in NSFW illustrations whose characteristics may give rise to confusion with the age of the persons depicted.

Important:

• You must post the illustration on your Steem blog indicating the contest information (contest name and link to the contest) along with all the information you want to detail.
• Leave a comment on this contest announcement post with a link to your post and an image of your submission.
• Only one entry per participant is allowed, but you can put as many illustrations as you like in your entry.
• It is not compulsory, but it will be appreciated if you share the publication of your entry on your social networks. Use the hastag #SteemAIContest
