Ta'aruf week
The Introduction to the School Environment Period, also known as the Student Orientation Period (MOS) or the New Student Orientation Period (MOPD), is an activity that is generally carried out at the beginning of each school year to welcome the arrival of new students. However, at Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Negeri 4 North Aceh, the orientation period is called Ta'aruf Week.
Mr. Muhammad Rusli, M.Pd. (as the Head of Madrasah) who acted as the inaugural event for the Ta'aruf week said that “Ta'aruf Week has the meaning of introduction. This introduction consists of an introduction to the physical environment of the Madrasa and the social environment of the Madrasa." Examples of the physical environment of Madrasahs are Madrasah facilities and infrastructure, such as roads leading to Madrasahs, Madrasah courtyards, Madrasah playgrounds, sports fields, Madrasah buildings and equipment, and other facilities provided by Madrasahs. While examples of Madrasa social environment are principals, teachers, staff, employees, and friends.
This Ta'aruf week event will be held simultaneously nationally in each Madrasah on 18-21 July 2022 for four participating days, and this year's implementation is very different from previous years. Moreover, the influence of the Covid-19 atmosphere, however this pandemic is ongoing, the students of MTs Negeri 4 Aceh Utara are still enthusiastic in participating in learning activities and Ta'aruf Week in Madrasas with appropriate methods.
