Description: "Bluesky’s Authenticated Data eXperiment code is open to devs to play around with, and the core of the protocol is built around self-authenticating data. "

Twitter’s decentralized social media project Bluesky has released its first batch of code and also committed to content moderation on the network.

Former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey first announced Bluesky back in late 2019, but the project went independent in February after receiving $13 million worth of funding from Twitter. However, Dorsey is still a member of the board.

Bluesky released its “Authenticated Data eXperiment” (ADX) protocol code via a Thursday blog post titled “Working in Public.” The team noted that it will be publicly sharing the process of developing the platform by “releasing work before it’s complete, but also giving ourselves time to workshop new directions at early stages.”

Reminds me of the post from @primevaldad, Learn to build in public.

IMO, Steem should be well-suited for this "build in public" model, and we (as a community) should learn to get better at it.

I missed this when you published, but thanks for the mention! Indeed, this has that build in public vibe.

I just can't imagine social interaction products (whether professional or personal) progressing much further without an element of open development and open content production. (Or, if they do, they'll be left behind as 'legacy apps'.)

Anything moderated is part of the centralized social media status quo. However, without being moderated, there will be many posts that are sensitive, such as religion, vulgarity, race and ethnicity. On the one hand, I don't agree with restrictions or censorship by companies, but I do agree that moderation is mutual respect between individuals.

I hope this project will be a better project in the future

Every tweet will be peer reviewed to ensure adherence to principles of free speech. The naivety of thinking there should be no rules when it comes to posting things on twitter is insane. All this talk about censorship is nonsense from right wingers who can’t handle being called out for their lies or racism.

That is the best principle of free technology that there can be, in addition to the regulations and collective controls that there should be.

Since elon took over twitter, new changes will come to the platform, I haven't used twitter for a long time since I've been away from the internet for personal reasons, but today I'll take a brief look at the latest news and there's a lot of interesting news in the technology area.

It's interesting news, the truth is I don't have any social networks, I did, however a detail that I didn't like made me eliminate all this, you can live without social networks, but I respect everything and everyone

It was really a good news! I hope Tweeter will be more crypto friendly in near future and decentralized social media will be future of social media. Thank you.
