I get you, but I was talking mainly about goals and plans that are not yet accomplished; like sharing that you will start going to the gym before you even go, or saying I'll start a new company before you even come up with a name for it, and many other examples where we share futuristic plans and goals before we take the first steps of achieving them.
speaking out these plans can also be a way to motivate oneself. Who says A has to say B or whatever expression is used. It wouldn't work for me.
Well I got your point, it could be subjective. I could refer you to a speech by Tony Robbins that could make it much clearer maybe I wasn't able to fully explain the point
