Steem Japan Application for the Communities of the Month Support Program- For the Month of October 2021

🗾 Community Purpose
The main purpose of this community is to share member's experiences and lifestyle events in Japan and to connect with other community members. Steem Japan isn't only for Japanese people since there are people from different countries who lived in here. Our community is diverse and it's open for anybody curious about our Japanese culture, those that want to share their Japanese experiences, travel blogs, foods, and any sensible posts. They are all gladly welcome. As of now, we observed that there are more users outside Japan and that we welcome all of them with open arms.

A Japanese Community already existed long before, but at the present, it's not. Therefore, we are the sole active community in Japan for Japanese users.

🎎 Community Team
We have several members who help our community. The active core team members are:

We all speak different languages. Though the primary languages in our community are Japanese and English, our team is also fluent in Tagalog, Korean, and Malay.

Only when we've enough Steem, will our team members receive incentives from our community. But as of now since we do not have any support yet, we are not giving any amount of steem to our team. We've to prioritize our delegators and pay their monthly rewards so that they're going to not withdraw their delegated Steem power from us. We need their delegated Steem power to support our community users.

Curation rewards are used to pay for contest prizes, SP delegators, and MODs. But the majority is used to power up to grow the account.
Our curation account has grown a lot from almost nothing to 13,118.84 effective power in 5 months. As of now, we have 1,219 total subscribers and 105 active users.

Keys for our community account @japansteemit, are shared with the team members.
The current voting CSI is 9.8 ( 0.93% self, 186 upvotes, 65 accounts, last 7d )
Though the voting percent varies, we made sure that the majority are well rewarded by the community account.

👺 Plagiarism & Abuse
We are working with @endingplagiarism and added as a MOD to check plagiarism. We checked on contents and photos if personal or sourced correctly. Our admin @tomoyon is additionally checking every post to make sure it's plagiarized-free. He even caught 2 users and had given proper warning already. And if the abuse will continue, we'll mute the account so it won't get support from the community.

🌸 Engagement & Commenting
We recently started running our engagement stats report script (daily and weekly) for us to know who exactly are actively making comments, active in making a post, and their involvement in our community.
Almost daily we receive 30 or more community posts and over 200 posts every week.

🍣 Plans & Updates
We have a community update like this each week.
We often discussed what is going on in our community like contests, events, community account and, rewards. We also mention our plans and direction for our community.

The big plan we talked about is that the self-sustainability of this community. We wish to have support from @steemcurator01 and @booming. Your support is extremely appreciated by our community.
We also try to find new ways to grow our community with our members.

🍜 Promotion
We haven't done many promotions outside of Steem yet, but we've our community Discord server so we promote contests and community posts over there.
Also, our community contests are open to everybody so that we will promote our contests to other Steemit members and attract more members to our community.
Also, we have designed community T-Shirts a few months ago.

The idea was to wear these t-shirts during Steem Japan meet-up and promote Steemit to friends, family, and locals. But unfortunately, Japan remains in a pandemic crisis and it's not safe to have public gatherings yet. So we'll just pursue the idea when it's already safe for everyone to go out.

Even though our community has a bit of steem power, still all our team members are active, motivated, and enthusiastic about making this community better.
We believed that with this community support program, we will take our community to the next level and build a stronger user base on Steemit not just for Japanese but for all users around the Globe.
