Are you just looking, or are you already seeing? 👹🍣🎎 Japan through my eyes

Usually don't have to look all that long to find something beautiful. Often the beauty in our lives is hiding right before our eyes, and we are simply unable to properly direct and control our view and thoughts. Too quickly we literally overlook the forest for too many trees and then wonder where all the splendor and glory in our lives has gone. It's usually still right there where it used to be, but we've finally gotten used to ignoring it and tuning it out. This beauty often seems too ordinary and mundane for us to appreciate and praise it.

The charm of our own lives no longer has enough effect on us and no longer manages to catch our attention and to captivate us. We prefer to hurry around with our senses closed and fade out everything what is there to be seen and what cannot be simply be overlooked day in and day out. But open eyes are not always enough to be able to grasp and understand the sometimes lovely and sometimes harsh beauty on our doorstep. You also have to feel it, only then you can actually see and understand it as well.

Often it is enough to reduce the daily pace for a moment. And then just stop and not only open your eyes, but also allow your senses to finally unfold and feel good again. And suddenly you see again, and what you get to see is almost always worth looking at again more closely. And then finally understand everything, and you start spinning in circles and never want to stop. The moment is too wonderful to let it slip away. You are allowed to hold on, but you are also allowed to let go. Because if you know how to do it, you can always come back here and look again. And then you may see much more than the last time and you may be amazed yourself at how good your eyes have suddenly become.

Or has life simply become more beautiful all of a sudden?

Everyone can answer this question for themselves when they are ready. I for my part will go and look again tomorrow, and enjoy what I get to see.
