University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital

I am here today to participate in this contest organized by @miftahulrizky so that users who participate in this contest can pin their locations to the Steem Atlas map for the ease of visitors.

_{Entrance to the main ward}

The University of Ilorin Teaching Hospitals was established in 1980 along with five other federal hospitals in the country. Before moving to their permanent site, there were general hospitals owned by the state government under lease agreements.

Over time, their permanent site was completed in 2010, and they moved to this new site to begin full operations. This hospital is located along Old Jebba Road, Oke Ose, Ilorin, Kwara State.

It is owned by the Federal University, where students are taught how to treat ill patients and the kinds of drugs they can use. They also teach students how to carry out operations because there are available theater wards where students are allowed to learn in that aspect.

_{Ward of the patients}

They have different specialized facilities where patients are treated, such as the VIP ward, surgery, intensive care unit (ICU), accident and emergency unit, emergency pediatric unit and more. It is one of the highest or most modern hospitals in my state, where critically ill patients have been attended to.

Parking spaces are available for the workers who work in the hospital as well as for the patients who come for check-ups. Visitors are not left out; they are also allowed to park their cars conveniently without any problems. Most of the patients move here from primary health care centers to this general hospital if their illness is beyond the capacity of the previous facility.

_{Ambulance vehicles both big and small one}

Ambulance vehicles are also available on the premises so that they can be used for emergency purposes, especially when a client needs to be moved from one place to another. A white mini tricycle, which has a bed on top of it, is used by the medical personnel to move clients from one ward to another.

_{Seating arrangement}

They have a well-arranged seating area for the visitors who come to see their sick relatives. Some students can also sit here to read. They have well-trained personnel who will assist patients in doing a series of tests until they find out the sickness or causes so that appropriate medicine can be prescribed.

_{Walk way}

The walkway can also be seen in the hospital so that visitors can walk to the rooms where the patients are situated through the appropriate labels and arrows indicating the names of the wards where their patients can be found.
