Aceh Governor Muzakir Manaf officially appointed Muhsin, S. Pd.I, M. Pd.I as the Acting Head of the Aceh Dayah Education Office. The dayah community has high hopes for Syeh Muhsin's leadership for the advancement of dayah after the flood disaster.

Dayah is a traditional religious educational institution which is one of the pillars of education in Aceh, Indonesia.

The figure, familiarly known as Syeh Muhsin, was appointed Acting Head of the Aceh Dayah Education Office based on Decree Number: PEG.821.22/11/2026, which took effect on January 14, 2026. Syeh Muhsin's presence is considered strategic for the development of dayah education.

Syeh Muhsin is known as a polite, modest figure, and has a long track record of service in the world of education, including in the dayah education environment.

"He was born and raised in a dayah (Islamic boarding school) environment since childhood. So, he understands very well how to advance dayah education in Aceh," said Tgk Jamaluddin HK, Head of the Qaha Ukhwatul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School in Lhokseumawe City, Saturday, January 17, 2026.

According to him, Syeh Muhsin deeply understands the various obstacles and concepts of dayah development. Due to the flood disaster, dayah and religious education were among the most impacted.

"Not only physical assistance, but spiritual support is also very important in conditions like these. And Syeh Muhsin understands this vision, as does Mualem's vision and mission for human resource development in Aceh through dayah education," added Tgk Jamaluddin.

He hopes that Syeh Muhsin's sincerity and integrity will uphold the dignity of dayah. Under the leadership of Aceh Governor Muzakir Manaf (Mualem), the role of the Acting Head of the Dayah Office is considered increasingly strategic in strengthening the foundation of Islamic education in Aceh.

Muhsin's appointment also brings renewed optimism for the acceleration of priority programs, strengthening regulations for Islamic boarding schools (dayah), and more focused development of students and teungku (students).
